Not surprised by the negative comments about the services offered because this Centre totally disregarded the local community for their benefits by not providing parking facilities for the employees resulting neighbouring car park on Yokine Regional Space gets overflowed by vehicles of the Ability centre employees making it’s impossible for to find a parking space if anyone arrives after 9.30 am to use the reserve for any sports activities, or a walk! On weekdays!
Almost 70 vehicles gets parked every weekday
City of Stirling should install parking meters with min 3 hours of parking this would generate a revenue to maintain the car parking space.

The drivers of people movers, some are fitted with wheelchair access must gets checked for drug and alcohol because some male drivers driving these vehicles like lunatics disregarding basic traffic rules, risking passengers and other road users.
This is the car park of the Yokine Regional Space borders to Bradford Streets on a weekday!
Car park is full as this became the official car parking place for the employees of Ability Centre!

Confusing onboarding process for participant with NDIS plan requiring AT. Ability WA demanding 100 point verification. Explained that elderly pareents couldn`t find the required ID. They offered to transfer me to the NDIS. When I explained that in order to become a participant the NDIS would have verified their identity and would the NDIS plan be verification enough so we could get the AT required, they said it was their policy not to accept it. Tried another AT provider. 5 minutes later job was accepted requiring only name, address, NDIS number, D. O. B.and referral. Beaurecratic and archaic in a time where NDIS is confusing enough and services are becoming more streamlined to assist those with disabilities and their families.

I work at this awesome facility. The care and services it provides is exceptional. Staff and management are hands on and very experienced. Amazing culture and vibe.

Have had a very pleasant experience With The ability centre over the last 28 years from the early memories of when I used to go to Day Care and Bonnie and Joan used to drive me to now where I'm building a wheelchair that will allow me to aspire to all the worlds opportunities without limitations at the end of the day it's not about the bricks and mortar and I have spent many long night in those before obtaining my own rental in the northern suburbs it's about The team around you of expert You do you have the choice to say which therapist you want to work with within the organisation so don't just look At the organisation on a whole it's your service

Very much a For-Profit Disability organisation that is poorly managed, heavily beaurocratic, has an extremely high staff turnover and a toxic work culture that treats their workers and 'Customers' with utter disregard. If you are differently abled do not use their services. If you are with them, do yourself a favour and just leave. Go somewhere else because they are only getting worst.
