9 Oceans Fish and Chips

Kip was previously head chef at two award winning NORTHBRIDGE establishments. He won them Gold Plate Awards. He cooks Seafood like no other and this is a warm and friendly family run establishment with reasonable prices

Beware online ordering. Placed an order online at 5.35 for a 6.15 pick up. When arriving at 6.16, they did not seem to find their record of the order until I showed them my SMS confirmation. Eventually received my order at 6.33. Makes me wonder why I would order online for a specific pick up time, also note that online orders are 10% more expensive than their in store menu! Why? They partially made up for it by providing more food than ordered but both chips and squid were quite soggy. Will probably return to Lilburne Fish Supply next time but thought it would be worth trying somewhere different for a change.

We have recently moved to Duncraig and this is our local Fish and Chippy. We are super happy with it, the value for money is fantastic compared to what you would pay else where. We get the Snapper grilled which the nail.

I’ve just moved in to this area and thought I would check out the highly recommended 9 Oceans Fish & Chips. I selected my favourite Red Emporer accompanied by potato scallops, prawns and squid. What a magnificent feast! I’ll definitely be spreading the word and treating myself again real soon!

Good fish and chips. The fish is excellent, chips not quite as good as my usual but still ok. Dimsim tasty. Recommended especially for the fish.

First visit tonight ordered large fish n chips and literally have one small fish and 23 chips…. Geez hate to think what the small fish and chips delivers! Sorry will not return

First time trying tonight, got the Spanish mackerel, two serves of chips, mushy peas and curry sauce.

The Spanish mackerel was a good size for the money paid however thats probably the only positive.

The chips tasted stale, were pale and pretty inedible unfortunately. Not sure if they were cooked way in advance of the fish or what but probably worst chips of the area (we have been trying all around to find the best fish and chips to be our new local). The mushy peas was soup consistency and flavourless, the curry sauce however was good.

If the chips were crunchy and fresh it would have really made a difference.

We recently moved to the area and heard lots of great reviews about this place so we thought to give them a try tonight. Customer service was great and the fish and chips were delicious. Crispy golden fish and the batter was on point! We will definetly be back!

I can’t fault 9 Oceans. The fish is always fresh, the crumbed calamari is the best we have ever had and serving sizes are generous. Also unlike some fish and chip shops you don’t feel sick after. Online order is a big plus! Thanks so much <3

Been going here for a few years now, and I feel confident saying 9 Oceans is the best fish and chips shop in Perth. Staff are always lovely, food is prepared quickly and prices are very reasonable. You won't find better tasting fish anywhere, Streaky Bay in SA was the only place I've been that even came close!

We travel from High Wycombe because 9 Oceans offer a gluten-free pan-fried alternative that is consistently good, well priced and always delicious. Phone ahead, always ready on time and a friendly team.

I can only comment on the chips here. They just dont cut it. They are not crispy and fresh tasting quite dry and bland. Plenty better nearby F&Cs.

Great place all 4 people who had fish and chips from here tonight thought it was the best they ever had. Good sized portion of fish. Chips lovely, not soggy like in some places Was able to get Gluten Free Fish and Chips a huge bonus. Lovely friendly staff too.

My whole family was really impressed with 9 Oceans. Very tasty, batter not too heavy and the oil was fresh. We didn't get any of that "too much oil" feeling that you get at so many other fish and chip shops. Really great experience. We had a variety of fish from Dhufish to Hake. The Dhufish was amazing but even the Hake was well above average quality. Awesome scallops, AMAZING home made (?) tomato sauce. I can't wait to get dinner from them again! Champions!

Fish is always fresh and tasty with the right amount of batter. Have been going here for awhile now despite living 7kms away. We did notice that our portions lately seemed smaller than usual but hope this was a once off.

I had good snapper, mackerel & whiting here, it wasnt dry or hard, the batter was light and very crispy too, delicious!

Yesterday i had brilliant Gluten Free (grilled) fish and chips at 9 Oceans, the staff were very aware of gluten contamination and were happy to help me.
Looking forward to coming back again soon

The best fish and chip shop in Perth. The food is fantastic they have great deals on for families and singles but what I love the most is the Whiting! It is to die for! The staff are always lovely to me and my family. I go there twice a week. Thanks guys!

Love this place. Staff are fantastic, they do gluten free fish and chips, which is great for celiacs like my dad. Great price! We always go here!
