2 Fat Indians Joondalup reviews
59 We had the mixed banquet and salted lassis as drinks. The Lassis were nice and refreshing.
Entrees consisted of pappadums with two dips, the mint yoghurt dip was nice but quite spicy. There was also a mixed platter of potato samosas, chicken drumstick and sheesh kebab. All of these were very nice and accompanied with similar dips.
Mains were three curries accompanied with saffron rice, garlic naan, raita and a vegetable salad. All of which were refillable upon request.
The rice and naan were tasty and freshly made. The raita was delicious. The butter chicken was okay but rather on the sweeter side, the chicken was tender and nicely cooked. The Dahl dish we didn’t overly care for to be honest and was mostly untouched. The lamb rogan josh curry sauce was very flavoursome, the lamb pieces were hit and miss - some were tender while others were honestly very dry and hard to even cut through.
One thing I’ll say though the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere and the service was top notice; very friendly and accommodating staff who made our visit enjoyable.
Last Monday, I’ve been to this restaurant for the first time ever and I found the service to be excellent and with lovely atmosphere and the friendliest staff. I would for sure recommend this restaurant if you haven't been there before give it a try you won’t be disappointed.
Just half way through our meal when cockroaches emerged from the sofas, one of the cockroaches was in our take home bag. They diddnt apologise or offer any discount.
Jazz was amazing, great service and a beautiful bubbly personality, always came to check if everything was okay and if we needed anything!
Would 100% recommend!
2 of us got sick very soon after eating here. Although the food was delicious. Bar staff couldn't make an espresso Martini I think they forgot the coffee? Very quiet for a Saturday night. Pricey add ons such as $6 for a raita dip, $8 for water. Sorry, won't be returning
There is like this one curry i ate with garlic naan i forgot its name i THINK it was the chicken madras but it was really good
Love this place Butter Naan and Butter chicken
Reminds me of Nz
highly reccommended
The butter chicken I ordered was super runny, full of added colour, my fingers got literally stained. There is now spices at all in the chicken. It tasted like a plain soup. Not recommended for any orders.
Has anyone noticed the quality declining here recently? The rating on menu log has dropped a bit I think.
Had a madras last time that wasn’t as good as usual, same happened with a korma.
Last night ordered chicken tikka masala that was hot, full of veg and bore no resemblance to a chicken tikka masala.
Also ordered something different that was supposed to be smoked lamb, garlic and cloves. It was basically a double hot vindaloo that bore no resemblance to the description.
Garlic naan was undercooked and tasted like dough with very little garlic.
Starters were good.
We did order 3 carry and we did spend $100 but they give us only water in it so we will call them to charge curry and, again they give us same bad carry and they give paneer curry instead of chicken so it is so bed experience, i never ordered again
Very nice place and staff are very helpful. The food was absolutely delicious but a little bit pricy. This is my first choice in terms of Indian food.
Food is good but I took my wife and we had the same as we ordered on my birthday last year in August (I know, creature of habit) and was shocked to see the meal had gone up $27 in less than 6 months! Don't think I will be going back in a hurry as I dread to think how much they will put it up if I go back in another 6 months. I understand costs have increased but over 20% increase in less than 6 months is really taking the p! Ss
First time trying this place for take away and we will be back again. The butter chicken was perfect for my taste buds just the right amount of sweet to it. We also ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and that too was delicious. I noticed there were no photos of take away to show sizing but you do get a decent amount, it's like a 750ml give or take sized take away container.
We had the sides of Steamed Rice, 1x Plain Naan 1x Garlic Naan and the basket of Pappadum which complimented the mains perfectly.
My partner picked up for us and said the restaurant was nice and they had a great range of drinks from the bar available.
We will definitely be having a date here one night.
Sorry no photos we were to hungry
Worst food in perth tbh i was expecting taste as everyone used to say about two fat Indians just mixing of colour in food when i tasted it was really bad this guys needs to improve
We love this place. Hubby and I called in for a weekday dinner whilst waiting
for our son, not expecting anything special. The food is lovely and the service is spot on. Young staff but always polite and helpful. We are now regulars.
Had a great experience there. The lovely staff made us feel so welcome. The food came out fast and was really tasty. We had the chicken madras, chiken biryani, chicken lollipop and butter naan
Lovely meal and decor with attentive staff.
Just one thing, on the menu the "honey chilli potatoes" dish as an entree. Looks and sounds delicious but what it in fact is.frozen chips fried up and covered in a zesty sauce then placed in a bowl.
Now if that's an authentic Indian dish!
Technically, yes they are potatoes, but one would NOT expect frozen chips, not even hand cut by the chef, but out of a packet, to be served up as an expensive entree at $18.30
Lift your game managers and cooks. Don't take customers as mugs.otherwise a nice meal.
Joondalup- Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala - few chicken pieces in a watery red liquid!
Saag - full of salt!
Food quality dropped drastically.
Canning Vale one is still better.
Been there a few times, food was always fresh. Went in today again. Was Served cold samosas, order mutton curry, the meat was not cleaned before cooking and definitely not fresh by any standards. Disappointed
Best Indian you can get around Joondalup. Most portion sizes are really good. Service is exceptional.
The naan serving portions can be improved. Over the months we've noticed it's getting smaller and smaller. (Worth keeping up with your brand name)
