Zap Fitness 24/7 Williamstown reviews
22Relatively small but very functional gym. Good range of equipment and clean environment. Great having 24/7 access!
Cheers to the awesome staff at zap fitness always going above & beyond with customers service & keeping the place clean!
A great little gym, the staff are always making sure it is clean and running efficiently for the members

I should have read the reviews on here before joining.
I joined online and they’re happy to take the money out of the account straight away, However giving you the fob to access the gym is difficult during their staff hours when working shift work (hence joining a 24hr gym).
First time their system doesn’t work. Second time there are no staff when I was told the gym would be staffed.
Paying for no access.
Great staff, extremely friendly. Gym equipment is very limited though mainly the weights section
Says staffed but nobody was there, the comments below are true, should have read them before wasting time with this gym.
I signed up online. I found out post sign up that I have to attend to collect my access fob from the gym during staffed hours (sort of contradicts the purpose of an online sign up). I drove to the store to collect the access fob in staffed hours and no one was there to let me in. Even without using the gym for single day paid the subscription for 3 months unknowingly.very pathetic customer service
It’s on the small side but has everything I need for a good workout. Could maybe get rid of a few of the weight machines that are only specific for one exercise/muscle and use the extra space for another squat rack with drop weights. I usually go during school hours and it’s not particularly busy, maybe 5-10 other people at the most. You get the usual creatine-fuelled jocks who don’t deload their weights or use a towel, would be great to see the staff police that better but I have seen the staff doing it themselves (I’m sick of deloading 100+ kg from the leg press machine so I can do some calf rehab exercises).
Scummy Practices. Did not cancel my membership when requested, even after I watched the staff cancel it and waited until the end of my notice period. No help line available to answer questions. Would never give me money willingly and would recommend others do not either.
Great gym. Reasonably modern Life Fitness equipment with big screens maintained to a good standard. Ample weights. Never too busy but always good atmosphere. Always open which is great. No classes that I’m aware of but Jamie the personal trainer is excellent. A good no fuss gym that’s good value if you can find a deal.
Members beware. If you joined on a yearly membership this does not go by time, it goes by the number of payments you have made. If you need to move somewhere that there is NO ZAP gyms they will charge you a minimum of $195 for that pleasure. No Negotiation, Poor customer service, and told I had to pay the cancellation fee.
Lets use Covid-19 as an excuse to gauge money from people that can't use there facilities. YES BEWARE ZAP MEMEBERSHIPS ARE DOGEY?
Response to below - your call centre advised that it goes on payments NOT time your a member. Maybe you need to get your policies straight.
I have been charged for more than 2 months without knowing. This gym is stealing money from the customers. They took advantage from the covid situation to take the money from people who wasn’t going anymore.
Nathan is the greatest bloke, lighting is superior to any other gym, great bodybuilding atmosphere with lots of like-minded people.
I am still waiting on my promised refund from over a week ago which I am doubtful I’ll ever get
They promised to put me on a contract and charge me less so after the contract was supposed to be up and I called to cancel I was surprised to be told I was not on a contract. I also found out later I was getting charged more.
My fault was I did not use the gym and check my payments as I trusted them but had I known I was not on a contract and am paying more I would’ve cancelled my “membership” with them a lot earlier.
The gym is not bad but a couple of times at night I have seen clients with the kids using it as it own personal gym (eating and drinking). So obviously it’s not monitored properly.
I really did not enjoy the experience dealing with their corporate office I found them to be aggressive and promise and not deliver, they also told me I could have cancelled a contract anytime, which makes no sense, over all an experience that was confusing.
Changing from 2 stars to 1.
I literally saw 10 people walking in with no membership. Very frustrating as machines were all in use and paying members were unable to use machines. Feel free to review your camera's.
Has the majority of the machines you need. Machines are well maintained. Gym is never busy. Usually has about 10 other gym goers present, so you don't need to wait long for machines. Costs ~ $14.99 a week with $60 sign up fee. If you commit to ~ 12 months, you can get membership for $12 a week. Small toilet and shower in the back. No real changing room. Its not the type of place to get ready for work. Staff are lovely.
Gets really busy at times leading to queue times for equipment; could do with some additional benches and power racks
I signed up online. I found out post sign up that I have to attend to collect my access fob from the gym during staffed hours (sort of contradicts the purpose of an online sign up). I drove to the store to collect the access fob in staffed hours and no one was there to let me in. I then wrote to them to request a cancellation within the cooling off period. They won't acknowledge my cancellation request. I had to lodge a dispute with my bank to get my money back. Zap Fitness Williamstown = woeful service and dodgy business practices. Avoid at all costs!
A bit dark, but has everything a gym needs. Good crowd, mixed ages.
(Absolutely terrible American RnB trash on the stereo, but that seems common at all Zap gyms)
