I honestly wanted to rate 0. Please do not shop at any Zamels stores. Purchased a bracelet (2k plus) which broke. Terrible repairs completed. Staff agreed its a faulty product. Broke again on other end. They are now refusing a refund. Cannot get email responses. Cannot get anyone on the phone. Store cannot help as head office makes decisions however you cannot contact anyone. Have lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs. Terrible products. Even worse customer service.

I do not recommend buying any type of ring from zammels

This was my partner's engagement ring I purchased 3 years ago.

Since then the diamond has fallen out three times. Each time I have gone to zammels I was told warranty does not cover me and the jeweller only gives 3 months warranty.

The jeweller charges the same price as the ring was when I first purchased it.

Each time zammels told me that it was my fault not their products. Ironic how it was the same diamond on the same side Each time it fell out. Rubbish quality products don't waste your money.

I purchased a rose gold bracelet. It turned silver so they replaced it. The replacement did the same. Their reason was “excessive wear”. I hardly wore it. So it’s not their problem. So what am I supposed to do? Leave it in the drawer?
Very unhappy with Zamel’s.
Do not shop there.

Really disappointed my partner put on hold a bracelet and was told it would be on hold for 24 hours but the lady sold it before she got a chance to purchase it. Customer service at this place is disgusting and extremely rude

Worst experience always brought my jewellery from zamels so was very disappointed with the experience at this store ended up going to highpoint and got exactly what I was after after being told at airport West it couldn't be done.

It is a pretty long story - for those that don't want to read the whole thing, the essence of the story is STAY AWAY from Zamel's & DO NOT buy their insurance they sell you.
My brother purchased an engagement ring for my now to be sister-in-law on 29/04/2020. He proposed on the 4/01/2021.
She wore the ring that night but rarely wore it after due to a need to resize it. We unfortunately lost a grandfather end of Jan and my sister-in-law to be lost her grandmother end of Feb/start of March. The visit to Zamels didn't occur until the 10th of March.
However, on the 8th of March, she put on the ring for my mother's birthday as there was family she hasn't seen that would love to see the ring. At the dinner table, she noticed a diamond fell out. We searched but, no diamond. So on the 10th the reason for their visit changed.
Zamels took in the ring and sent it out for assessment. Came back saying that she had damaged the ring and we will need to pay for repairs. We requested another assessment. Same outcome. Asked for a copy of the reports where one said the claw was pulled and the diamond fell out whereas the other said the ring was knocked. There are more details that can be included that have occurred in-between but will try keep it short.
It is now April 24th, we still don't have the ring back after we requested it be sent back to us on the 7th of April. Followed up with the store, they had no idea what was going on.
We also purchased insurance for the ring which does cover missing stone replacement but only if the missing stone isn't customer fault.well surprise, surprise.it was deemed customer fault.
A formal complaint has now been lodged with ACCC and Consumer Affairs. If you do ever have dealings with Zamels, document everything.it has been a massive help to me in doing so.
Long story short -
1. DON'T BUY FROM ZAMELS
2. IF YOU BUY FROM HERE FOR WHATEVER REASON - DO NOT, BUY THE INSURANCE. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. It will come back as your fault.just look at the product reviews.everyone is saying the same!

Bought a gold chain, nice looking but poorly assembled chain, the link to clip connecting the chain was small and weak and veered opened and chain fell of my neck and I almost lost it as was half way down my back when I knew it came of my neck.

Went back to store with receipt and warranty wanting it to be fixed, they clipped backed with the weak link and told that'll be 30 odd dollars to repair and wait a week and a half. This is not good costumer service. They should sell solid jewellery that doesn't come off and if it does fix it.

Always shop there at airport west. Rosey one of the people who work there always looks after me and my family. I got my son's wedding gifts from her for both his wife and my son and recently I got my wife 2 bracelets and 2 bangles. I only shop there for all my gold needs. Honest and real people.

Very poor customer service tried to get a refund on a faulty bracelet that on the first occasion back in store they had offered a replacement and told they would ring in 3 days to come and collect it still NO contact up to this day that is now nearly 3 WEEKS to then be greeted with a RUDE sales lady to be told I had to wait 45 MINUTES for the other manager to come back to store she stated she was a manager. So why couldn't she solve this on her own even when he returned he had no input on the situation

I have never been more thrilled with the wonderful support and guidance then with the wonderful people who work at zamels in airport west. It is always such a pleasure to go in there to look for gifts and accessories, they are always so kind and fun to talk to. Anyone who complains about their service is honestly a bit of a moron.
