Zambrero Mernda

I went there last week and the staff member who was working was lovely, she was working the shop completely by herself and managed to take my order with great care, the serving portions were slightly smaller than other franchises i’ve bought from but i understand that’s managers responsibility.i got along really well with the worker, i recall her name being sienna, she was up for a great chat, and guided me through the sauces so it wouldn’t be too spicy!

Bought a signature bowl with chicken and 2 burritos. Burritos were ok but the chicken in the bowl consisted of 1 piece about the size of a 20cent coin. Given the price I would have expected a bit more. Was pretty bland although to be fair I asked for no jalapeños.
Wouldn’t order it again.

The food portion is different depending on employee. No standard.
Also the service is very very slow. If you can wait 20 minute for 1 customer prior to you?
Let alone the service attitude.

Very nice food, very understaffed though, always a long wait and feel bad for the workers that are getting absolutely slammed with people and online orders… amount of toppings/sauces is a bit inconsistent, more is always appreciated haha

Very lovely staff.
Visited Sunday 16/4 at 8pm and received great service and generous toppings. Definitely coming back.

Been to many Zamberos this has got to be the worst customer service and the they are so stingy with their toppings, do not get any extras because they will literally give you a teaspoon.

Food is lovely and staff are friendly although both times I’ve come into this store there has been huge lines of customers, ingredients are running low and staff are struggling with orders. Please put more staff on, it’s not fair on the workers.

Absolutely terrible! I’ve ordered from this restaurant maybe 8 times and 7/8 times something has been wrong with my order.last time i ordered a nacho burrito and got a small nachos, like the staff doesn’t know their own menu?
the most recent time i ordered on uber eats a burrito bowl and quesadilla and paid for extra chilli sauce and jalapeños on the bowl but received no sauce or jalapeños, instead the chilli was put in the quesadilla for my young child who hates chilli and couldn’t eat it!
to make matters worse they NEVER answer the phone so can’t even contact them about my order.terrible customer service and organisation in this place, will not be returning

Ordered via Menulog tonight for a 7: 55pm pick up. Got there on time, still had no food by 8: 17pm. By the time the order was 'ready' there was no tacos because they had apparently ran out or didnt know how to make it. Obviously under staffed, and our food suffered because of it. Unfortunately will not be ordering here again. Major disappointment. Also, my partners food was literally as cold as ice and ingredients we specifically asked for not to be on our food were.

Loved the food and atmosphere, the staff were really quick and friendly while working, my family enjoyed the burritos a lot

Very hit and miss with this zambreros, you never know what you will get, after trying roughly 10 times, I won't be returning, this store almost 8/10 times have not had enough food prepped so you miss out on guacamole or sour cream on items listed as being included, however I do not feel this is due to lack of meal prep, i believe it is due to not staffing correctly for the demands of uber etc. The staff are being stretched to their limits, they always look stressed and unhappy and usually only have 1 staff handling customers and one handling ridiculous amounts of online orders, sometimes the wait times as a walk in customer can be 30 - 40 minutes + the amount of drivers standing around pushes that, it is very disappointing to wait that long to then miss out on guac, sour cream on your nachos, there are some great staff here who do produce quality meals though majority of the time they are very small servings lacking all ingredients, I feel management need to review their rostering to manage the needs or perhaps stop doing online orders at times where you can't manage the needs of online customers.

Good food.however no where near enough staff to service customers on a Friday afternoon.line was out the door and had only 1 staff member serving.the other staff member was doing uber eats.management needs to stop being so tight and put more staff on for the afternoon rush.

Never had Zambrero before. Went here with the family today and oh boy that was a lovely treat.
So good to have something that is healthier that all the fried stuff.
Also massive shout out to the two amazing staff working their butts off. So many online orders were coming in and the queue in store was getting longer and longer.
Please management put more staff on.
We will definitely be back!

Was super excited for the Mernda store to open but was left disappointed by our first visit. I ordered a big burrito but it was so small. The team member didn’t seem to know that rice and beans are included in the big burrito. He was polite and added them when I told him but the filling was no more than what I would’ve got in a regular burrito. I’ve never had a bad experience with Zambrero until today. Hoping the team can learn quickly as they all seemed to be struggling.

Staff was lovely and up for a quick chat, the feel and vibe of the place was really nice and food was a great choice for friday night take away.will be back thank you zam fam!

Great tasting food had nacho’s but for the price almost $15 was not impressed with the handful of nachos and teaspoon of sour cream and 1 tablespoon of salsa food tasted delicious 5 star for taste

Staff were the most useless individuals I have ever met in my entire life and I did placement at a school for kids with disabilities

Horrible horrible food, the staff had no I dea what they was doing. They took along time to make my food and charge me that when I got home my food was cold. I was hoping to like it as I am Mexican and Zambrero could have been the closes thing to Mexican food but not even close.

The service was excellent, the attendants were very busy but were smiling, helpful and pleasant. Can I suggest more staff be employed to be available at peak times. The food was good as well

Serving sizes are very small, even though we ordered the 50% bigger power bowl. Meal was overpriced and not filling. Was tasty though.

Responding to your response: the menu actually says get 50% more filling, and I which is what I chose. If this is incorrect, then your menu needs to accurately reflect what is for sale. Also, my partner got the meat one and it was still a tiny portion. I’m even more disappointed in your response more-so than the food.
