Zaatar On West reviews
32 The food is 10/10
But they wrecked it with a bad service.
Unfortunately I will avoid going there again.
The lady at the front acted like she didn't want me as a customer.
All the other staff were fine they were very nice.
Freshly cooked Lebanese pizzas.
Cappuccinos etc available as well as cold drinks. Opens very early, prices are great.
Staff are a absolutely lovely. I do uber eats sometimes and when ever i pick up from here they are so friendly, polite and just generally lovely also always busy so highly reccomend
I used to reside in Pascoe Vale, and among my favorite dining spots in Hadfield, this restaurant stood out. I would frequently dine in or order food for delivery. However, my recent experiences have been nothing short of nightmares. It appears that either the management or ownership has changed. On one occasion, a receptionist was exceedingly rude, showing no courtesy while taking orders. Another time, I was handed Zaatar bread but left to retrieve my own coffee. Giving them another chance after 6-7 months, I was served undercooked chicken atop cheese.
The food quality has declined, and their customer service is worse than ever before.
The staff members' service was excellent. Food is always delicious. Reasonable pricing. Parking can be difficult to find as West Street gets very busy. Would definitely recommend
While the food is lovely, basic manners and respect are next to non existent. It goes a long way to give a friendly 'hello, what can I get for you? ', or 'it's going to be another 15minutes, so sorry about the wait' instead of an abrasive "what do you want? " and a jarring 'what? No. It's not ready yet'. Being busy does not give one a free pass to be rude. Unlikely to return because of how customers are made to feel small and insignificant here.
Best Manoush bakery in Melbourne!
Amazing food, great customer service and affordable prices.
If you’re in a rush I suggest you call and place your order.
I would recommend the Shanklish and the Sujuk wrap.
Terrible Service. The only person here who is amazing is the islander girl behind the counter. Without her the place falls apart.
Took them 15 mins to take my order (one person serving coffee and taking orders at the register on a Saturday) and took another 15 to have my food ready, I swear the meat and hot dog I ordered went straight to the bin, the meat was so salty that it was not edible.
The cheese pastry was good and then look at the zatar with cheese I ordered! I hate to leave bad reviews but this was one is well deserved and will never go back again.
As the great Anthony Bourdain used to say "Atmosphere, service, then food".
Sadly this place has fantastic food, but the service is absolutely deplorable. I watched 5 customers enter, and not one of them was acknowledged by any one of the 3 women working. When they were eventually served they were not greeted with a smile or any degree of hospitality. The staff made it very clear that they would rather be anywhere else. They were stony faced and bored looking. Half of the chairs were up with an hour left before close. I could comment on the awful decor in this place but honestly, the service was just that much worse. The owner should definitely rid himself of all staff members and employ people who actually want to be there. Staff that will be warm and friendly with customers. I myself stood at the counter for a long time before the staff member who was a metre and a half from me bothered to say anything.
A very clean and new looking restaurant with very welcoming staff.
Just arrived from outback WA and wanted to have some nice healthy ‘tuckah’ with the misses.
Thought this looked pretty good and the prices were very reasonable and service was without delay.
Tried 2 different types of pizza (flat Lebanese bread) with various toppings.
Both cost $15 and were great but too much to eat for the two of us.
So, we took half and half home after asking for a doggy box, ”No worries mate! ”
Thanks to the staff for their understanding and guidance in helping us choose these delicious Lebanese flat breads.
Highly recommend anyone who likes eating healthy and…. Don’t like to say the word but a very ‘cheap’ meal. Great value!
There are plenty of choices including some yummy traditional cooked Lebanese sweets similar to Turkish baklava.
When we’re back in Victoria next I will certainly make time to revisit this great little eating spot.
Thx Reg Robinson.
This place has really improved in the past few weeks! Staff are so much more efficient and the coffee is AMAZING especially considering the price: O Great job guys!
I wish I could give you many more stars. Trust me people they are best at everything. I cannot stop myself coming over and over and over again.
Fantastic Restaurant, food is amazing and friendly staff, location is original and warm.finally an original libanese place to eat in west lake, the dishes are stunning and tasty.i really racommend this place
Went today. The place was full of flies and they were all over the food bay landing on the veggies and fruit. I mentioned there is flies all over the food. They said yes we know they are all over our shop. It turned me off eating the food. The food was soggy and the bread wasn't cooked through. I wouldn't recommend this place.
I order from here almost weekly and the food is great. My only suggestion for improvement is that orders should be checked a little more carefully—we’ve received completely wrong orders a few times recently. Nonetheless, when we get what we ordered, it’s consistently fresh and delicious.
Great food and coffee. Coffee only $3 for small.cheapest and best in the area I reckon.
Staff and team are great too.
Only issue is the number of customers not bothering with COVID-19 safety precautions, eg masks. Difficult for staff to police but twice now, despite the food and coffee being great, I have turned around at the door and missed out on my sujuk wrap and long black! Shame.
Too many rough dudes rocking up with no masks and not checking in making everyone else uncomfortable. Wish it could be more enforced.
The staff were not following covid rules by wearing a mask. Not sure what my fellow Arabs problems are with wearing a mask. Shame on all of you.
Delicious tasting pizzas, I recommend the oregano and veggie, spinach pizza, meat pizza. Also falafel plate or the wrap are very tasty. Coffees are strong and the flavour is superb! Staff are very friendly and helpful!
