Stephen fixed an old Enfield mantle clock that belonged to my great grandmother. When I delivered the mechanism was apart and in pieces and it's now back together and running like new. My Mum took our family's cuckoo clock to be repaired due to it's sentimental value. Stephen requested payment upfront and after a number of visits (with excuses that the clock probably didn't work due to travel in the car) my Mum gave up going back a 3rd time. The clock was repaired by another kind repairer in Epsom for a fraction of the price (and whether the clock had been opened/repaired in the first place).
