The food was fantastic. We chose a range of dishes including sashimi, spicy tuna, karaage chicken, agedashi tofu, eggplant and more. They cater for coeliac disease too so two of our friends had gluten free meals with no fuss. They're really reasonably priced also. It was a great night out for dinner.

The food was amazing, we ordered and came really quick. Friendly service, everything was amazing! Will definitely go again.

The most delicious beef we’ve ever eaten. We thoroughly enjoyed both of our meals and will be back!

Came here because of the good reviews. The service was fast and mostly friendly (they just forgot one of our dishes, which they served not too long after we'd asked about it). Unfortunately, I got food poisoning soon after eating there, and the rest of the family had a stomach upset for the rest of the night. Not a great way to end the evening!

Appalling treatment! My daughter asked for atable for two and was shown to seats. A few minutes later she was asked to leave as a booking ahowed up 15+ minutes late. They were asked to VACATE. Outrageously rude. Cant rate food. Havent earen it!

Fantastic japanese food in a cozy environment. Stand outs are the tempura, agadashi tofu and sushi rolls (spider). Great service and presentation.

Food was ok. But the restaurant was freezing cold! Would I come back for the food? Maybe if they fixed their heating.

Lovely and cozy atmosphere with various choices of delicious food. Yuzu plum wine is highly recommended. Amazing service. New favorite Japanese restaurant.

Genuinely the best Japanese food I've had in Melbourne. Also beautiful ambience, lovely and kind hospitality, and very affordable prices. If I could eat here every night, I would!

Yokoso does select good quality of their tunas. Tuna tataki was nice and fresh. Tuna sushi was great as well. The grilled king fish was yum. The yakitoris were good - they did well on the sauce. Beef tataki.hmmm not quite like it and the rolls full of mayo is a no for me. I honestly think it is a little bit pricey for the food quality. Staff were all so lovely.

$80 pp tonight cause we ordered quite a few entrees. Our favourite was the grilled king fish and the beef tataki. They’re all really good, just a bit pricey overall. I could definitely eat more but my wallet will hurt.
5 star service as well. Definitely will come again

Service was eratic and lack lustre despite restaurant only being half full. Oysters were delicious but curry tofu was very ordinary. My chair was very wobbly and dangerous to sit in. So, I swapped it. The restaurant was very noisy. Concrete floors are cheap but poor acoustic quality. Australian Japanese restaurants often, though not always, lack the subtlety and range of food available in even the smallest restaurants in Japan. In Australia it seems to be same old same old.disappointing.

Absolutely incredible birthday dinner! We were looked after by Sienna who was so attentive to our table and kept checking in to make sure everything was okay. She definitely made the experience with her impeccable service! The food as always was just perfection everything that came out was so fresh and presented beautifully. The perfect way to end my birthday! Thank you again Sienna!

Always a favourite for delicious Japanese dishes with variety and high quality. Busy but we didn't have to wait long for our food. A few mixups occurred with another table's order being given to us.

I dined with some friends at the Northcote venue. The beers were excellent and fresh, we opted for an assortment of starters and main dishes. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to taste their signature sushi due to the unavailability of some products on the daily market. I'll be back.

Best Japanese I have had in a LONG time. The spot has a warm and welcoming energy and the staff are lovely. Didn’t have 1 bad dish and we gave the menu a good crack. Highly recommend.

Nice place with delicious food. We got the deluxe banquet which is very good value. Highlights were the entrees. The Hot Pot as a main was ok, slightly salty and would’ve been better if they served two bowls of rice instead of one to soak up the broth. The dessert was ok too and felt it had too much spring roll wrapping making it difficult to break. The service was great, super friendly and attentive. The only thing I didn’t like was how close the tables were and couldn’t help hearing other people’s conversations.

Feels authentic from the moment you walk in to the wood panelled space. Every dish was delicious and impeccably presented. We will definitely be back soon.
