47 Excellent customer service!
My iPhone had stopped working the night before, and rather than getting mucked around by Apple Store I decided to go into Optus Southland to upgrade my phone and get rid of Apple for good.
Welcomed immediately and warmly by Safin who asked me to take a seat until one of the staff were free. I waited no longer than two minutes. I was assisted by Max who helped me pick the right phone and plan, very helpful and friendly service. Walked out with a new Samsung, and a plan better suited to my needs and budget.
Big thanks to Max for all his assistance and brilliant customer service.
Everything the one star raters said! Shocking customer service. Absolutely appalling. I asked a young guy this morning about entertainment packages and all he did was circle the customer service number on my Optus bill and told me to ring them as he walked away. I'm lost for words. 30/7/18
Staff at this store was rude and abrupt. Waited for 45mins and yet wasn’t able to get our phone plans changed. When we spoke to the staff at the counter, he didn’t provide us with any assistance and just told us that they can’t help us at this time. This happened on the 17/11/2023 at 7: 20pm.
We have been with Optus for over 20 years and this behavior from a sales staff was appalling.
They don’t care about customer problems.i had issues with my direct debit payment.manager says if you want can go anywhere we don’t care

Wasn't the best experience I had, maybe if I came in another day it'd be better but I guess it wasn't that bad, I had to wait a very long time for service and wasted all my time for no reason at all, wouldn't say I don't recommend but maybe if you go at a good day it might be better.
Had Jason help my family and I out tonight and he was such a nice, genuine, lovely guy! Even though my parents were annoying him and being dorks he just went along with them and was so nice to them

Absolutely disgraceful mobile and home service, a complete disregard for customers. I despise paying for poor sevice and Optus is nothing but a leech, once you are a customer you are a forgotten entity.
DISGRACEFUL AND FRUSTRATING.
Just been HACKED, personal info gathered and most likely an INSIDE JOB.
SIMPLY THE WORST PROVIDER IN THE LAND.
EMPLOYEES NEED TO BE THOROGHLY SCRUTINISED BEFORE EMPLOYMENT AND I BET THEY NEVER WERE.
Store staffs werent very helpful, unable to rectified our techinical issues and wasn't even able to notified their billing teams of our payments so that our data service could resumed to normal. When ask about assistance with diagnostic checks, the staff member advised he can send the phone to have it review but wasn't able to facilitate another temporary phone. So how could a customer operate without a phone if current phone has been sent to their serviced department! There was no point having in-store staff if they are unwilling and unable to help with customers account.
Strange customer service where you HAVE to come an take a seat to find out the price of something. What if you don't want to sit while they get you the next sales rep available.
Feels like you're about to get the hard sell even if you actually don't.
Nice enough sales people but I didn't like the process one little bit.
Then strange deal on Galaxy S21 Ultra where if you buy it in monthly installments it's $200 cheaper than if you pay for it outright upfront. I really don't get it. So I didn't get it.
Best customer service when I walked in I got greeted by a staff member and they assisted me when getting a iPad and new WiFi network over all it was amazing.
Terrible.we have been trying to solve problems for nearly two weeks to no b avail. Billy was very helpful bit did not solve the problem.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. Both my sister and I were misquoted and were ripped off. After informing the store, they failed to rectify the error.
You are much better off going to the Parkmore or Chadstone stores where the employees will be honest and truthful when setting your plan up!

Today I went into Optus to transition from Telstra. I wasn't looking forward to it because these things can be tedious sometimes. But I had the pleasure of meeting with Rhys who made the whole thing simple and easy. He said he's only been there for several months, but he already knows exactly what he's doing and seems comfortable in doing so. Him and I had a great chat as well. Excellent customer service, could not recommend any higher. Good job mate.
My husband and I just left optus southland extremely happy with the service. Huge shout out to Yamin, fantastic service and was truly the deciding point in opting for optus vs a competitor. Thanks again Yamin! Hope you get a promotion.
We went into Optus Southland last night to enquire about a home 4G modem plan. The sales assistance was very pushy to myself and my partner in regards to changing our phone plan as well. We both told him that we were happy with our current provider. He should have respected our answer and left it at that. But instead he continued to question why we wouldnt change our phone plan as well. He then must have told his colleague who then proceeded to also harass us to change our phone plan as well. After this even the manager kept harassing us about our phone plans when we were just trying to leave. I have never felt so uncomfortable when just trying to get internet in our home. Your company should be ashamed of using these techniques to get more business. We regret going with your company at all even for our home internet. Do better.
Looking for a new phone / tablet
Have to say observing staff chewing gum whilst working is not a good look, bit of a turn off.will go back when have more time
