Incompetent staff at this store. Can't even set up a mobile phone. Don't go here. They're useless.

Service poor, once they take your money they don't want to know you! Montana, just left me to serve new customers, ignored me, put me on to junior staff, who wasted my time, deleted all downloads off my watch. Told me to go into the Optus shop in the city.

Had a fabulous customer experience with Montana Port Melbourne who was extremely helpful. I had been to Optus South Melbourne earlier and the customer service girl extremely unhelpful. Looking for good CS go to Port Melbourne

We have dealt with this particular branch a couple of times for different services and each time there has been errors made and misinformation given. Accounts put in the wrong name and now the latest issue being signed up to a family plan more expensive than what we were informed. When we visited to notify of their errors we were basically told that they could not help us and to contact Optus direct. The staff are actually very nice and friendly but woefully undertrained and lacking knowledge. Gives a bad name for the company.

Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The manager (Akshay) is excellent, with a really strong customer focus, and he has a good team.

Another great thing is that Optus has had an amazing 4G Wireless Broadband service for a year, with phenomenal speeds in the Port Melbourne / South Melbourne / Albert Park areas, which means you DON'T NEED THE NBN!

My wireless broadband home internet costs less than an NBN service per month (for 500 GB per month of data) but gives me speeds 10-20x times faster! On occasion I've had peak download speeds of up to a 175 Mbps (!) and average speeds around 80 Mbps. Upload speeds are typically around 20-40 Mbps.

By contrast, my friends who have the NBN suffer typical download speeds of around 6Mbps.

The Optus store in Port Melbourne also offer 5G wireless broadband home internet in the Port Melbourne / South Melbourne / Albert Park area, though coverage is not yet complete (which is why I'm still stuck on 4G).

Bottom line: this Bay St Optus store is really worth a visit, especially if you are frustrated with the NBN.

An Optus store that actually knows their products well. Aaron was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Helpful service, willingly providing us a pre-paid, good deal SIM as visitors to Melbourne. Made sure that we were on the air before we left the shop. Great 4G coverage in Melbourne and surrounding area.

Good Optus store that can get pretty busy at times and long wait to be served is expected. I always experienced a good customer service, however more staff would be better for customers.
