Yeonga Korean BBQ Restaurant reviews
56Amazing dinner here for two. I opted to cook myself as that was part of the fun for me, but the staff were so helpful and changed out the griddle types when cooking chunks vs slices of meat. Ordered the wagyu oyster blade, pork neck and ox tongue. All were delicious, beautiful cuts. Also had the cold buckwheat noodles which were one of the best I’ve had in the CBD with their cold beef broth. 100% recommend for an authentic Korean BBQ with really great service.
10/10, had the most lovely waiter serve us - will be returning if we come to Melbourne again!
Yeonga used to be my favourite go to for korean bbq, but i feel like it's become too popular and the quality has gone down. The prices are as high as ever, but small portions and unexciting food, it's ok but used to be amazing.
This is by the far the best Korean BBQ restaurant I’ve been to in Melbourne The marinated beef, corn cheese and soybean beef stew are excellent. Attentive and friendly service too. Highly recommended.
Super impressed. Seated at very short notice. Our host/waiter Roger was exceptionally accommodating and helpful, not overbearing, very good at his job. Ambience upstairs was nice, cosy, bustling, but not too loud. Food was great, fresh, large serving sizes. Looking forward to returning with a big group.
I have been here so many time. Always happy with everything from here. Whenever I want eat BBQ Korean, I always come back here. Everything is perfect. Meat is fresh, good service, people is friendly.
We had the marinated set plus the wagyu chuck tail. Absolutely worth their prices with such high quality of meat. The complimentary stew comes with the set may seem small, but it is loaded with lots of meat and veggies, and the spiciness is just right!
The pineapple rice wine was amazing, I finished the whole jug on my own.
The price per person would fall onto $60-80ish if you're not ordering alcohols.
The food was amazing - the meat was so tender and cooked perfectly. And the staff were so friendly @ attentive. Atmosphere was also great for a fun night out with friends.
Probably the best Kimchi Jigae I've had in Melbourne. Packed with flavour with the softest silken tofu. Had the BBQ set as well - reasonably priced and deliciously marinated $~70 for two, comes with 3 meats, and a soup of your choice. You had to pay extra for rice. The only let down was the banchan - there was only 2 cold banchans with no refills. If you asked for more kimchi, they charge $5 per plate. I will definitely still be going back and telling friends about it, but was disappointed with the kimchi refill being charged.
Good quality wagyu for reasonable price, and cooked for you. Although they messed up our seat booking and forgot one of our order. Its always busy in evening, need to book gor weekend.
Our go-to place for a delicious reasonably priced meal, nice atmosphere and an overall pleasant experience
For the price we pay the quality of Wagyu is very ordinary. The most irritating thing is that even the red chilli sauce is sweet. The marinated meat is like we are eating dessert. Very sweet for any Korean bbq I had before
It is a very busy and popular shop. You have to book at least one week ahead. The raw meat is very nice, and marinated meat is too sweet for me. Service is very good and professional.
May have been some of the best Korean I've ever had! Meat was cooked to perfection by the lovely staff and really enjoyed how there was an element of privacy with the booths. It was a very busy place and dining time is limited so would highly recommend booking in advance. Seafood stew and kimchi pancake were delicious too. Gam-sa-ham-ni-da Yeonga:)
One of my fav korean restaurants in melbourne. Really attentive friendly service, quick and efficient. Food is really yummy. Thank you for a great night. My kids and parents all said it was great.
They close at 9.30pm because the staff gets last order then, which literally means you CANNOT even sit and have food there IF you step in at 9.40pm and that's what happened to me. I asked the staff if we could have a simple meal quickly not BBQ but she refused it. In the end, I enjoyed my only meal (busy all day for Melbourne trip) at another restaurant at 10pm when their business hours are till 11pm too! Yeonga is somewhere I want to go the last ever.
Look! Yes, you must've closed at 11pm after kicking us out at 9.40ish! The staff told me that kitchen was already closed so that they could not get any order. Does that make sense?
Would give 6 stars if I could!
Great food, all fresh, friendly staff and real good place, all very clean!
Soju cocktails = amazing!
Will be back for sure!
If you look for tasty and delicious Korean BBQ, it's undoubtedly the right choice. I tried several Korean BBQ and I consider Yeonga as one of the favorites.
Delicious food and great service. If you are not very familiar with korean barbecue they will help you with the cooking. They also offer a few other things that comes along with it, all very tasty!
Service was great and quick. Food served exceptionally and delicious. However, I'm abit disappointed with the wagyu since it's not very tender. Perhaps it's only me, but overall not bad at all
