Yea Peppercorn Hotel reviews
53Food was very tasty but schnapper was definitely overpriced for size of serving. Can recommend the Ninja alcoholic ginger beer.
Had a terrible night, which is a shame because the food was delicious.
Waited 20 mins after being seated just for our menus. After another 20 mins, I had to get the waiter to serve our table (hadn’t even taken our drink order). Waited over an hour for food, service was sloppy and even after our meals were finished, nobody cleared our plates or offered desserts. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry and providing good service is not as difficult as peppercorn made it tonight. Great food can only strive with matching service.
I have many meals at the Yea Peppercorn hotel and each was as delightful as the next. My dining companion (also known as my husband) still talks about the pork belly. Can't wait to go back and try the new gin tasting paddle!
Kelly and her trusty gang offer amazing food and service.
We love shaing this venue with our guests and we're never dissapointed.
The gin platter was a hit as well!
Looking forward to our next visit
Great food, comfortable beds. The place needs a tidy up. The owner is delightful.
So much possibility that is missed!
Great place to stay. There are 4 rooms with different furnishing styles. We stayed in The Victorian room #2 which was very large with large ensuite bathroom. And a lovely beer garden and hotel balcony for guest use.
A delightful country pub with clean, comfortable accommodation. Dinner was exceptional.
Staff are friendly & always smiling. Got to try some fabulous new gins. Thank you Kelly we
enjoyed our stay with you & look forward to our next visit.
Best pub meal I have had in years! My steak was cooked to perfection and the sides and sauce were fresh and piping hot. The staff were lovely and the hotel was welcoming and charming.
Beautiful hotel with great service and amazing food. Don’t even think about going anywhere else!
Went here Saturday night for our family xmas, sadly it was very disappointing. Fish & chips very oily and too much batter, half was left it was that bad. Pulled pork was liken to an old boot as it was so tuff, ribs were ok but very expensive for what they were, calamari was ok, salmon was the best one. Snitz was ok to. Beer (draft on tap) must have been at the end as it was sooo gassy, beer did get replaced. Beautiful place inside but the meals are not like they use to be unfortunately
Very nice pub style restaurant. Excellent and prompt service. Items on menu and standard pub meals but made to a very high standard. Portion sizes are very generous. Excellent overall.
What an impeccable experience. We stayed in the Garden Suite and the hotel food was so good that I cancelled my second reservation elsewhere so I could have yummy dinner again. Melanie was excellent at all aspects of her job and took stellar care of us. A lush interior was complemented terrifically by by an exterior rich in beauty and bird life. Can't wait for my next stay. Highly recommended.
Really friendly service that was not intrusive but very good. Food was excellent for both the big people and the little people. We had a bottle of the Sidona Reserve Shiraz that was really good.
Definitely recommend for a quiet dinner for 2 or with a larger group.
Better than normal pub food.
Great country seafood platter for 2 to have after you have finished your ride on the rail trail
Excellent, worth getting to, all plates, even kids high quality - had lunch, thinking of trying to come back for dinner - service top notch
Mel and team were very welcoming, comfy bed in room overlooking a cute garden and food and service was great! Perfect weekend getaway to explore the area. This place is also located just a couple of hundred meters from the start of the Great Victorian Rail Trail if you're looking to explore this (which is highly recommended!). Thanks Mel, we'll be back!
Very nicely renovated hotel, also very clean. Complimentary breakfast makings were appreciated as we were walking the Rail Trail. It was the perfect location for this activity.
I've visited the Peppercorn Hotel a number of times over the years and just keep going back! This place has such a warm, inviting atmosphere and the owners (Kelly and Chris) do a wonderful job of entertaining guests. The rooms are clean and spacious, the food is wonderful (the surf and turf is a fave and the seafood is amazing), but I really enjoy the bar and outdoor area at the back. Sometimes they have live music, wine tastings and even events. It's so great to support small businesses and keep Aussie pubs running. Definitely
worth a visit!
Recommended by various other merchants around Yea as the best place to eat. Worth trying, good food, good service.
We stayed at the Peppercorn for work, the owners went out of their way to make us feel at home. They were very hospitable. The hotel was spotless, Billy and Bianca made us feel like part of their family. Couldn't have been more helpful and courteous. Would highly recommend the hotel. Thank you looking after our employees from Dixon Excavations representative, John Cursio.
