Yawa Aquatic Centre

Brought the kids here on a rainy summer’s day. A big hit, but seems everyone had the same idea, so it was a bit of a kid salad! Also managed to sneak in a swim session for myself in the 50m indoor pool, which was faster than usual — personally I don’t believe the rumours that they put something in the water to make you go faster!

The kids section isn't as cool as the pictures make it out to be, we still had fun though. & the one thing I did like is how well the entire place is presented in regards to the structure & the surrounding nature.

My children had swimming lessons there and the teacher was so rude. Other than that everything is ok

Facilities are second to none, have always found the pool area and changing area to be clean.
My membership allows access between 9am and 4pm, so finding a water aerobics session (the only exercise I do) is sometimes disappointingly unavailable and sessions appear to be oversubscribed.

Great pool, great facilities, only drawback is no outside pool or sitting area. Good classes. Limited parking as they are busy. Nice and clean and friendly staff.

Weekends are bedlam - way to many people children allowed in.
Full price for seniors - how about a discount for seniors not just pension card holders

Well laid out and good facilities. Great childrens water play area.
There are 2 Water slides for the older children that are great fun too, but check times though as they are not always in use. Good sized hydrotherapy pool with water jets at one end. A separate warmer jet pool and sauna and steam rooms are available but which cost extra to use. Very sad though that there isn't a pool with the bubblers in it.
A large gym is located upstairs but is paid for separately. Whole facility use packages are available inquire at the main desk.

Really disappointed with my experiences here, I have been treated poorly on many occasions due to my age and have been spoken down to every time I go. On one occasion I attempted to extend a 10 entry gym pass for another month because it hasn’t been used and they denied that they could do that. I am in my early 20s and had to ask my own mother to go and ask and they did it without an issue and spoke to her very nicely. I also payed to use the gym for one visit and the man serving me neglected to tell me it was closing half in hour as I was under the impression that it was a 24/7 gym as they advertise that everywhere. Great facilities wasted on nasty staff members. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone of a younger age who wants to be treated fairly.

My experience has been wonderful my life has changed. I feel Much better. Nice staff members & instructor. The classes are wonderful Excellent.
Specifically the Zumba Teacher in the pool & in the studio.

Great service, very modern, spacious, airy and light.
Enjoyed my relaxing, first warm water class plus the coffee and cake afterwards!

The service and the staff that work there are absolutely lovely, our first time there for the aquatic play today and felt very welcomed also the toilets/bathroom was very clean.

The only tiff I have with this place is the floor is like a pebble concrete, walking from one side of the pool to the other, bare foot, is so unpleasant and painful, my daughter got a little cut on her foot from the floor. I just got a band aid from the staff and everything was fine, just this was the part of mine and the family's experience that was uncomfortable, my feet where in so much pain as I was walking on it.

Otherwise, this is a great place to go for the kids.

Have access to this gym through company. Very modern, clean and has all gym equipment required. Would become a member if I lived locally.

I’ve attended this pool 5/6 times now. I’ve signed up as a member and use the hydro pool.
I’ve recently had a total hip replacement so this has been a life saver for me. I’m 33 years old.
I only just live around the corner so incredibly close for me and very easy.
No problems with staff, everyone is friendly. Change room is always clean.
Very convenient. Will definitely be coming back tomorrow and the next day and next week. I haven’t eaten at the cafe.

What a sensational facility we are so fortunate to have on the Peninsula.
Some of the Gym equipment could be of higher quality though.

Went on a weekday with my kids, but unfortunately they closed the waterpark between 12 to 4. Plus most pools were for swimming lessons over the entire day. I was so cold when I got out of the water, roughly 20/21 degrees. Not ideal for winter chills. Hopefully they consider these things before we return.

No clear details on how to withdraw from swimming lessons on Web or the app. They just continue to gouge you $20 a week and are reluctant to let you cancel.

A very well laid out centre with activities for all types of exercise, friendly and helpful staff, relaxing atmosphe.

Great pool, bu staff are usless when it comes to first aid I was so mad to see how they dealt with or I should say didn't deal with my daughter when she cut her foot open. Also the floor is so very rough to walk on its painful and not a great experience

When they opened it was very clean especially the pools! Today I was in the pool it was dirty stones in the corners and the mornings on the wall are dirty! If I don't see a change in a few days, I'll give up my subscription! The spa is always very dirty with sweat on the benches! There is no water to clean! Also missing attach cloths for the tablecloths! And you need a relaxation corner after you leave the sauna!

Internet / AV signal on exercise equipment is rubbish. Be prepared to spend your entire workout looking at a blank screen saying 'weak or no input signal' Both TVs in the gym - dedicated to AFL only.
