YASSAS - THE GREEK WAY (CRAIGIEBURN) reviews
22Possibly one of the worst tasting Gyros I have ever had. I had a meal delivered. The lamb meat was so dry you couldn’t even chew it, there was a layer of hard oil underneath the meat and chips. Not to mention the meat was so salty. Not even edible.
Absolutely loved it. Prices are bit high but you get what you pay for. Was very impressed with the quantity and quality.
The seafood platter was a disaster, definitely not worth $119, small portion of calamari, and 4 pieces of scallops and prawns, we ordered the grain salad it was a flavour less and we had to changed it, over all he still charged us for it and I have to go back to get the money back.
This restaurant is newly open, food is delicious even though the restaurant was crowded our food reached without delay the chefs are doing really good job even the guy who took our order was so professional and easy. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Made an order online, they left out half my order and charged me $40 for 2 small skewers alone with some rocket (meant to come with bread, chips and salad). Pure laziness, if you can’t ensure full orders within your ordering time, close it earlier. Besides that food was kinda meh, definitely no place to be charging what they do for the food, barely seasoned, cold and dry.
I visited Yassas Greek restaurant, I enjoyed their food, but was disappointed by the 0.50 cent charge for a take-away container, especially after spending $300 on our meal. It's not about the. 50 cent but the principle behind the unexpected fee. This unexpected fee left a negative impression, wth is that
Very bad burnt food and bad service dont recommend took over 25 minutes to get food and only 2 people in the shop very bad
I ordered the Homemade Moussaka for the first time at the Craigieburn restaurant. One taste and I couldn’t eat anymore. Had a horrible taste. The salad I had with it was nice. I asked the waitress if I could change my dish to grilled calamari even without the salad as I already ate mine. She said sure no worries, then the manager comes to my table saying that if I want something else I had to pay for it even if it was just for the calamari and no extras. I had to pay for the full cost of the dish. The dish was so bad that I had to eat some of my sons meal to be satisfied. I told the manager that due to not being accommodating that I would never come back or recommended this restaurant to anyone. I was planning on coming back before I even had my meal and telling my mum. Not going to happen. One very unhappy customer. If I could provide no stars, I would.
Only giving 3 stars for service as the staff were nice.
Went there for dinner and ordered the seafood platter thinking for the price it will surely be more than enough for the 2 of us, boy we were wrong all we got was 4 overcooked prawns, very small calamari and octopus fried in a batter, some chewy octopus pickles and a piece of barramundi, some potatoes on the side with a bit of salad for that price man you must be kidding us. Never going back there again, way overpriced for what you get.
Food was good but overpriced. 10$ for hummus dip is insane to me.
Moussaka was great.
Chips were good. Got the lamb kebabs but I personally didn't like them. Food was warm. Service was good.
Food is great. I ordered twice before this time. I ordered 7 mins before their closing time, and they still accommodated for me. I really hate to be that person but I had a roughy day wanted good food. Thank you
Perfect food perfect service great atmosphere and manager very friendly and accomodating and took his time out to come and speak to us on table 25 today at lunch time
Thank you so much
We will be back for the Saturday night for the live band
Thank you Tassos and your amazing team. This was our second visit and I was stunned that you remembered us from our first visit. I love that you provide a truly authentic Greek dining experience. From beautifully prepared and presented dishes, to the Greek hospitality that is intrinsic to our culture. The live music on Saturday nights was such an unexpected and pleasant surprise too. Thank you again for giving us such an amazing experience and we look forward to dining with you again very soon.
Food and service was amazing
But what would actually give this place five stars is if they actually did a closed pita gyros for dinner time and not just for lunch time.
Greece is known for their souvlaki and would be amazing if you changed the menu to closed gyros for dinner time
After reading all the negative reviews it was a real turn off. But spur of the moment decided to drop in for lunch. So glad we did.ordered grilled calamari, chicken gyros, rice, fish and chips. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The chips fresh & crunchy. The gyros melt in your mouth. My son actually ordered extra fish. & fantastic service. Highly recommend ignoring the negativity & come see for yourself.
Food was great and didn't take to long to come out. The only reason this has 3 stars is because I think it outrageous to be charged $17 for a small piece of sganaki (cheese) photo attached with review of the sganaki.
Otherwise everything else all good!
I had a really lovely experience here and had a group of friends come together for a catch up for lunch. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is so inviting with soft Greek music playing in the background. The food was delicious and cooked well, the portions were big and well worth the amount we paid for. Me and a friend of mine shared a platter for 2 but it was enough for at least 3 people. As much as we enjoyed it, we couldn't finish it all. The staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs for my friends children. It's great to finally have a bit more variety of food in Craigieburn. I will definitely come back again, really enjoyed it!: D
First time in this newly opened Greek restaurant. Ordered gyros and salad. The meat tastes good and actually quite big portion.
Very caring, attentive, extremely friendly manager and stuff. Thank you for wonderful time!
