We had a catch up with friends that we grew up together over the last 70 years, much better catching up here than at funerals, that is why we come to the Yarraville bowling club, this is about the 5 to 7 years we have been getting together.

Good pub style menu, runs a good trivia night on Tuesdays.
The regular menu outside of the specials is on the pricier side but I suppose that's unavoidable these days, still good staff and a good kitchen!

Great place, lovely view but the food not up to standard.lady was very helpful and gave us 2 vouchers.

My above review was 5 years ago and l can now say my wife and l love this place, especially in summer when you can sit on the front deck with a wine, good food and watch the sun set.

And the staff are super helpful and friendly.

Great service and food. Best calamari we have had. Staff were wonderful both friendly and most helpful.

We had a family reunion here a few weeks ago with about 60 people attending & I found the venue perfect! The staff were brilliant in particular Kathy/Cathy who looked after us on the day. The meals were great & everything ran smooth. Really pleased with the day, we'll definitely be back for our next reunion in January.

Thank you to Teresa and wonderful staff for helping with our function over weekend. Teresa is such a lovely person with great organisation skills, then on the day, all the staff were so helpful and friendly.we had a great night

Feels like a country town venue. Good meals and prices. Very friendly helpful staff. Seniors meals too.

I've been going here for years. The place used to be great and the meals were amazing but the last 3 times I have been the food has progressively become worse. The food is either underdone or over done. Chips cooked then recooked. Frozen garlic bread now the norm replacing the once really nice foccacia garlic bread. Just really disappointing overall. The kids area is always out of order or not working. The customer service from most staff is non existent. Went there to celebrate a birthday and we were all left really unhappy with the meals. The place has gone downhill big time. Sad because it has such potential and we used to enjoy going there.

We used to love going here, the food was well priced and delish! But now, service is sad and food is awful and well over priced!
Entree pork belly - gone from 3 pieces to 1 and so over cooked it is inedible
Seafood pasta- more pasta than actual dressing, to just fill the plate
And when we ask why the seniors calami has nothing in it like no calamari - we get told that it’s cheap so you get fed cheap frozen food.
Do not recommend!

This place has a very big outdoor area with nice aesthetics, and the building itself looks like it is going to be tiny inside - however it is quite big in size and on cold nights, the temperature inside is so warm and cosy. Lovely customer service too and plenty of parking!

Lovely service. Lovely food. Just a lovely time in general. Came in with my parents and it had a really nice vibe to it. Nice and calming but felt involved with everything. Special shout out to Alexandra for the exceptional service and chat as well. We are a bit of a talkative table.

Friendly staff. Was a tad too hot inside. It was a cold day but heaters were on too high. We were there for our good mates post funeral goodbyes. Staff were very accommodating

One of the best bowls club to play tournaments at. Superbly organised, and fantastic greens. The bistro is on par excellence. "Had the parma" I've always have a lot of fun participating there! And I'll definitely be back.

We celebrated my Mother in Laws 98th Birthday at the club today. The food was great and staff really friendly. Will definitely be returning.

If you're looking for a place to have a meal and something to drink that's not going to cost the earth, the Yarraville Footscray Bowls Club is worth a visit. There is a standard plus a specials menu with some vegetarian options available. Of an evening depending on the night, they have for example a burger night, snitzel night etc. It's a family friendly venue and you have the choice of dining inside or outside overlooking the bowling greens which is lovely on a fine day. We like going there and would recommend it thoroughly.
