My family and I had a wonderful stay at the stunning Yarra Yering Homestead last month, we didn’t want to leave! From the moment we booked with the most friendly accommodating staff, we then arrived at a homely, sparkling clean homestead with stunning surrounds, views and garden. So homely and comfortable with everything you could possibly need for your stay. My favourite was waking up to the view each day And enjoying a glass of wine at sunset at outdoor area.

Beautiful vineyard and to be able to taste the wine from their museum collection. Found a label I really love and am glad to go visit!

Our first visit to a Yarra Valley winery and we really did start at the top. Hunter Valley expat Sarah Crowe is producing some extraordinary wines here and their structured tasting really takes you through a journey what they do best. We loved the Chardonnay and the number 1,2 and 3 dry reds gave totally different and delicious experience. Ian was a charming and generous host and we will enjoy working our way through our purchases.

Absolutely beautiful winery as you would expect from a winery of this calibre.
Only negative was there was only one tasting option which was a little long (at an hour and a quarter +) and a little pricey at $50/pp. I’m sure it would have been worth it if we knew beforehand.

Outstanding, intimate wine experience. Stunning outlook matching extremely good wine. Thanks to Ian Frost for being a comsuerate host. Great memories and when visiting Aus again, will definitely be coming back.

As a friendly advise, don't even thing about to serve or try to sell this wine to a Turkish guy, since the meaning of the brand in Turkish is a bit unpleasant in word to word translation means: D

This was one of my absolutely favourite wineries to get red. I often rave about it to others. So while I happened to be in the Yarra valley I was hoping to just pop in to taste the latest releases (like I have before) and top up on some favourites. No can do… not only does wine tasting stop at 3: 30, because it takes 1.25hrs to do a wine tasting (too long for me, unless maybe for a special event), it’s also now $50 (I remember when it was free and then $15/20 refundable with purchase, which is much more reasonable). Well I’m wanted to try it first, even if was just the wines I’m interested in, so I left without buying any. I’m not sure I will bother again.

Californian wino here. This was probably one of my more favorite tastings in Yarra Valley. I believe we did the vintage tasting at the time and I think it was indeed worth the value from a few perspectives. The first is the quality of the wine and the vintage pours that were given. All of the pours were generous and it was nice that the tasting room was perfectly spread out so that you can have a nice conversation with your party. The second is the knowledge that the staff brought. They were able to answer my questions about their wine, the history of the valley, and how the winery operates. I would highly recommend this place for my fellow Americans who do enjoy the Pinots from the central coast of California. Yarra Yering has amazing wine and I would 100% come back here with my family again.

This is definitely not for budget wine hunters. It’s really good vintage and wine craft but not for regular drinkers who is looking for good value

Best winery in Australia using only grapes from the estate and traditional French techniques. Sarah Crowe is a genius as was Mr Carrodus himself. Halliday consistently rates the wines in the high 90’s. Go for a tasting, you’ll feel like royalty

Terrible customer service. I ordered a few bottles of wine after being contacted by someone at Yarra Yering. A month passed when I received a very abrupt email saying that the wine had been damaged by Australia Post. Firstly, if someone hasn’t gotten a product that they’ve already paid for, pick up the phone to let them know what happened rather than sending them an email. I wasn’t willing to wait any longer so I replied to the email asking for a refund. The response I received was passive aggressive.
If you like their wine, go through someone who actually knows who to pack bottles for transit and has better customer service.

Lovely delicate beautiful wine. Don't mind the sit down tasting at all, get to enjoy the view and take my time with them. Beautiful!

One of our favourite wine tasting venues with a fabulous selection of wines. At the very minimum you have to visit here to see the friendly resident cat who is adorable, in addition to trying all the wine! You can certainly appreciate the wine more here with some spectacular views to admire. Staff were really friendly and its generally not too busy here if you choose the right time.

This is my favourite wine tasting in the Yarra Valley so far. It's a much more personal wine tasting experience than most on offer in the Yarra Valley. Come here if you are really looking to appreciate the wine you are tasting. You must book ahead of time because spaces are limited and because the hosts spend more time taking you through the wine. It's about $30 pp for the tasting and the wines are more expensive here (most of the reds are over $100 per bottle) but it's worth it. The samples are generous and the wine is beautiful. Plus you don't feel rushed, it's not crowded and noisy so it's very relaxed and the setting overlooking the vines is stunning. You get your own table and the hosts are very knowledgeable and will take the time to answer your questions. My wife and I loved it!

Fabulous and informative wine tasting of premium wines. Stunning setting, but be sure to book ahead. Loved the descriptions and stories of each wine. Thank you Amber! We’ll be back!

It is always one of my go to winery whenever I visit Yarra valley. Due to covid, they are now offering sit down tasting. I have spent some good time drinking their wine and chatting with friends. You won't disappointed with their wine.

Great wines, amazing venue, but what a shame about their business adaptations to the covid pandemic.

Previously you could experience the cellar door magic and taste the amazing wines with a fair and reasonable tasting fee, refundable upon purchase. Unfortunately now, rather than showcasing a spectacular variety of Yarra Valley wine (and encouraging you to try then buy), their cellar door has turned into you forking out an excessive (non-refundable on purchase) amount for a glorified tasting paddle, essentially killing off the cellar door experience in the process.

I’ve always believed in buying direct from the winery, never minded paying for a refundable cellar door tasting, and loved this place for what they offer. But if you want to try their wine, you’re now much better off buying a bottle from a retailer than making the trip out there, which in my opinion is a real shame for the area.

Wines are good but absolutely no excuse for the way the staff act. Pompous is a polite description. It’s a lovely location. You’d think the staff (one lady in particular) would be happier working there. Despite the quality of their product, my guests and I left the building with a bad taste in our mouth. I never plan to return, purchase their wine or recommend this winery to others. Such a shame.

Our favourite winery tasting. This place is a stand out for both the wines available to taste plus the relaxing environment and friendly yet knowledgeable Employees (Dani) and the cat friends

Come prepared to want to buy all the wines
