Yarra Valley Grammar reviews
16My daughter started prep this year. Fantastic school. Very nurturing and caring environment. The teachers are great and happy to help
I was a student at this school from 1980 to 1984. In 1984 I was stabbed with a scalpel by another student in a poorly-supervised class. I left. Immediately.
Luther college, wow. This school is amazing. Even with the recent incident with the environmental activists, the school still managed to feel like Harvard. Professors are top notch, classes are challenging but totally worth it. Campus is beautiful. I highly recommend this school.
Very good school. Teachers are very nice here. My kid has been here for one year study and luckily he was chosen into the senior orchestra symphony. They gave him great help in all aspects. The activities are really unforgettable, run for fun, food wine and music etc. The tuition is quite cheap compared with other grammar schools with same academic level.

Fabulous school with wonderfully caring and supportive staff. A real sense of community is evident, which is reflected in the quality of education and support here. An enriching and rewarding experience for us all. Spacious grounds with lots of lush greenery make it ideal to learn and play in. Can not recommend Yarra Valley Grammar highly enough
Well, I haven't been to this school yet but, I have a spot already.
I am really looking forward to my life at this school.
Thanks Yarra Valley Grammar!
:)
Loved our experience at Yarra Valley Grammar. A school that strives for academic excellence but also provides a nurtering environment for kids to have fun while learning.
Very supportive staff both in academic and sports. Students are encourage to give everything a go. Students are respectful. The school has very good music and art programs.
Terrible school, with a strong discriminatory and bullying culture. Don't bother sending your child here if you want them to enjoy their schooling. The school only cares about money- with fees, events and uniforms all being extremely unnecessarily expensive. There's hundreds of better schools in Melbourne.
Good principal (Dr. Mark) = Good school. Good education with positive mindset and resilience. Teachers know what they are doing.
I can not highly recommend this amazing school enough. My children have been going to Yarra since ELC as did my husband. Excellent teachers, staff and friendly students. But the facilities and extra curricular that are available to the students is outstanding, the Yarra spirit groups that are run by parents and volunteers are wonderful and it’s also a great way to make life long friends. My children wouldn’t want to be taught anywhere else. Thank you YVG for playing a very important part in our kids lives.
For such a large school we've found Yarra to be very friendly and welcoming. Academically our son has been supported by amazing teachers who all seem to know the kids individually. Community wise, he was readily welcomed into the community when he was new to the school and all the sport, music and recreation activities are just another chance for him to be part of a bigger community outside his immediate friendship group. Highly recommended.
Yarra has beautiful facilities and amazing staff who work hard to get the best out of every kid.
I understand evacuating the bladder is an essential function of the human body. This is no excuse to relieve yourself on the floor of the maths and science building, preventing all other students the necessity of urination. This is atrocious behaviour and needs to be addressed immediately. I have held in my urine for 36 and a half days all because some selfish individual had to pee on the floor.
This is a great place to send your child if you want them to be bullied without any repercussions. As a student during the early Eighties, it was like the Hunger Games. A rotten, ugly school which turned a blind eye to peer on peer cruelty. It may have changed, but I very much doubt it. These kinds of problems are so entrenched, they never get fixed. If you love your child, AVOID THIS DUMP!
P. S. Not even worth the single star I gave it.
