Dropped by this place yesterday after driving past so many times.
Well hadn’t I been missing out, I was blown away as soon as I walked through the front doors. I was greeted by Phil who was such a happy friendly guy and he answered all my questions. I then went through to the growing area and wandered around in amazement.
I’m not telling you anymore as you have to go and experience it for yourself, other than the coffee was great and all the staff super friendly.
Thanks Phil

The farm has been around for 22 years as on august 2023. It started as a farm, now they added the shop for people to purchase the farm products as well as the processed products from the farm. Now they also introduced a restaurant in the front shop which they call "groceraunt":) try out the products in the shop, its good. They are not 100% organic. They use pests instead of sprays for disease control which is very eco-friendly

Average food, overly priced. Would not recommend, had a sausage roll which was average and priced at $11 without chips or anything and Small coffee was $5.50 and tasted average. Ambiance is nice as you are eating in a nursery essentially. But other than that anything and everything is expensive.

So impressive - Gateway Market is walking the talk, they are providing freshly grown, healthy, delicious, affordable produce to the local community and visitors passing through. Take the hothouse tour, pick and eat strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes and sweet orange capsicum straight from the plant, dine in their cafe knowing they're using ingredients grown in the hothouse behind you and stock up on great local Yarra Valley produce from their shop before you leave. Brilliant concept - we love it. And Tim was a superb waiter - so genuine and passionate.

This is a lovely, interesting place, great for a day trip if you aren't local. They have a great variety of gourmet products and fresh produce for sale in the shop.
The service was excellent.
The Hummus with ground lamb, pine nuts, parsley and flat bread was very good. The Beef brisket croquettes with red cabbage slaw, whilst crisp and beautifully presented, was a little dry and bland. It would be great with a fresh sauce.
We ordered Cappucino, extra hot, which was tepid at best. However, this seems to be the urban norm.
We shall be back for sure.

Loved their massive greenhouse! They have a grocer, cafe and so much more here. It’s such a fun and relaxing spot to visit! The cafe food was so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend

We had an absolutely lovely arvo visiting Gateway Market Yarra Valley in Coldstream - a sustainable way to shop and eat!

So amazing checking out the different areas of Gateway; the grocer, café and U-Pick Greenhouse.
The Grocer sells local produce from around the Yarra Valley.
The Café meals are made with produce picked the very same day on-site and from local produce from the Yarra Valley.
The Greenhouse is so beautiful and uses innovative farming methods; using good bugs instead of nasty insecticides and experimenting with LED lighting to perfect growing conditions with low electrical demands.

Amazing quality fruit and unbelievable customer service from phil. He walked the kids through showing the different plants and smelling all the herbs. Thanks for the great experience Phil and wish you and the business the best (fyi your strawberries were better than the roadside ones further down)

Great that they sources as local produce as they can. Grow strawberries and capsicum onsite! Can pick your own strawberries if you choose, and have a photo with your head in a strawberry cutout - fun for kids!

Terrible!
2 punnets of strawberries and had to throw more than half of them out, the bugs had had a field day, the rest were almost starting their own compost they were that far gone, they put them in packages and sell them to customers anyway, any wonder they’re eight dollars a kilo! Fail!
