We ordered some boar and venison. Showed up quickly and great quality combined with friendly service means we will be a regular customer.

I rang this joint after-hours on a weekend, seeking some information about a few ‘pest’ species (camel, deer, boar, goat, rabbit) that myself and a growing group of mates are interested in eating and promoting the eating of for environmental reasons. I expected to be prompted to leave a message, and maybe get a call back or an email back a few days or weeks later. After a few rings though, a bloke actually answered the phone in person which caught me off guard. I outlined the above to him.

I then asked about camels first (one of my favourite feral meats). The guy knew an incredible lot about them/the relevant numbers/considerations in Australia, and I was struggling to keep up with the pen on the page I was writing on. I thanked him for all his info’ (which he was clearly rattling off from memory, not reading), and asked if he knew much about the numbers of feral deer in Australia at the moment.particularly in Victoria. Exactly the same thing then ensued, but this time broken down by species (there’s a few different feral deer species here in Australia). I.e, an extremely impressive (numbers-wise) account of estimates of distributions in different states, etc. All from memory.

I told the guy he was a ‘fountain of knowledge’, and asked if he happened to know much about the numbers of feral/wild boar in Australia. Exactly the same thing again, but with wider estimated ranges.which I now know is due to vagaries in the scientific data. The guy had a similar level of knowledge about feral goats in Australia; including the different state distributions. Remarkably, he did not get impatient with my endless questions at all-even when I REALLY pushed my luck and asked him about rabbits, then possum numbers in ‘Noo-Zulland’ (both of which he was right across!).

I don’t know who this employee was, it was just ‘the guy’ who answered the phone (unexpectedly) after-hours on a week-end. He didn’t sound like a toff or anything, quite the opposite, he ‘talked like’ a straight-up butcher; but he had this huge amount of knowledge in his head all about the distributions of the aforementioned species in different Australian states. What this tells me is that this company is rooted in and operates from an extremely impressive ‘knowledge base’. I’d go so far as to suggest that any ‘environmentally-oriented’ restaurants (etc.) could source feral meats from this company very secure in the knowledge that they are ‘all over’ the relevant numbers and considerations pertaining to where and whom they get their product from.

This review contains ‘high praise’, but I assure any reader it is not biased by any ‘personal connection’ with the company. I simply felt compelled to write it after this guy selflessly/patiently spent > 10 minutes on the phone schooling me on numerous things I was keen to know. I don’t personally know anyone who has ever been connected with this company in any way.

Message them a few times for a price list but haven’t received a response.

Maybe You should put prices on your website so everyone knows how much you’re selling your products

The best supplier of Game Meats in my area. Products are all fresh, not frozen. I've had the best venison meat!

I've been to one of their farm gate sales. There's a great variety of red meats that are the freshest and the best in my area.
