Yarra Valley Deli and Cafe reviews
35Very happily surprised during a re-visit after several years. Very friendly and competent service and very good value after some recent experiences elsewhere. Cuppa break during a walk today. The scone was excellent and very good value. We sat outdoors.
Highly recommend the French toast with lemon curd and berries, it was amazing and a very generous serve.
Great service by friendly staff
The worst French toast ever do not buy it please do yourself a fever and order something else instead It’s so moist with lots and lots of sour jams and custard. Taste horrible
Such a great find over the weekend! A lovely cafe with beautiful service. The homemade raspberry scones with the blueberry jam were a standout. We will be visiting again, next time we're in the area.
Such a cute little find in the Yarra valley! The staff were lovely, the coffee was delicious and the interiors are gorgeous. Can’t wait to come back for some scones and coffee!
Felt very heartwarming place to be. Though the main door to get in might need to be looked at wouldn't open as I wanted to come in
Great little local Cafe in Wandin. The staff are always very kind and accomodating. They frequently have groups of seniors come in for lunch and they are greeted with a smile and endless patience. A wonderful local spot.
My family and I drive 1hour togo there. Place normally has a great vibe staff very friendly normally food is fantastic but this weekend we went the food was terrible even my grandkids who normally eat everything wouldn't eat the food that was served very disappointed
A group of 9 of us had lunch at this lovely cafe last Sunday. The food was sensational as was the service. The staff were very friendly and there's a lot of local produce you can buy here. It was a cold rainy morning, but the cafe was very warm and inviting. It has a nice buzz about it.
It's a simple shop front but inside the atmosphere is very relaxing. The food, coffee and service were all excellent.
Unintended stop over for quick lunch before checking in my holiday stay. Place was bustling, usually a good sign.
Settled on the side bench and was invited to order at the counter or wait for table service if don't mind waiting. I went to order to save them the pressure of take table order since they looked busy.
Food was impressive. Coffee, and a second chai ordered later were amazing. Overall could have been an easy 4 star, but can only reasonably give a 3 due to the service, in particular the girl who served me at the register.twice.
I get that everyone has bad days, but usually when the level of abruptness, makes me go down the path of self analysis starting with. "Is this an Asian thing? " No, coz I can see her being friendly with another Asian lady, then I ask myself. "perhaps a male Asian thing? " and then when I see her sits with other patrons and laughs & jokes, only to come back to the register deadpan and abrupt when taking my second chai order. One can't help but take it personally. Pretty certain it wasn't my order, it was straight forward and straight off the menu. Perhaps I reminded her of someone who did wrong to her? Maybe the chinese dude at the supermarket up the road is rude to her, and I'm somehow associated that way? Who will ever know.
Anyway, 3 stars seems reasonable and fair. Good luck.
Great food, great service and coffee. 35 minutes from ours but our new regular Sunday brunch. Don't forget to try the home made scones and jam.
Lovely cafe & deli. Had the Zucchini & corn fritter meal for breakfast (plus a to die for rosti), which was fantastic. Highly recommended.
This is a beautiful cafe with delicious food and a very inviting atmosphere. We had simple but lovely dishes; pumpkin soup with a herb scone and a hand made beef sausage roll. Sausage roll came with a locally made relish. The selection of cakes was too good to resist. We got a slice of flourless almond cake to take away.
Lovely Chai made from leaves, not powder. Was given a choice of how I preferred it.
Prompt service.
Such a nice gem in yarra valley. Good coffee, fresh pastries, fresh eggs, fresh and wonderful staff. Love it!
Lovely country town, friendly atmosphere, good healthy food. Fantastic helpful people. Thank you, Vic.and Doreen.
Went here for lunch with the family and we all loved our meals. Friendly stuff, yummy cabinet food and lots of products for sale. No vegan options on the menu but they were happy to veganize a meal for me.
It was a beautiful stop in Wandin, perfectly laid out a display of wines etc from the Yarra Valley, only thing was that my toddler would have loved to touch it all! Beautiful service and very friendly. Thank you for the milkshakes and coffee yesterday:)
Cute deli shop with plenty of different products on display for a varied and discerning tastes. However, the star of the place is the cafe, which serves delicious plates for young and old alike, with an excellent balance of traditional and modern flavours that will surely satisfy anyone.
