Yarra Heights Dance Academy

My daughter has been dancing at Y. H. D. A.for six years now and she completely loves it! The teachers are all friendly, kind and inclusive of the different ability levels. My daughter has enjoyed each of her classses and this is The admin.staff are always approachable and patient, thank you. We look forward to the end-of-year concert each year, which is a fun and professional showcase of all of the teachers' and kids' hard work and dedication!

I have been apart of the Yarra Heights Dance academy for a number of years. Myself as a student then after a break I have returned with my young daughter enrolled. It’s so nice to see a huge number of familiar faces still teaching and dancing there which says a lot in itself! Yarra heights is such a welcoming environment from the moment you walk in the door. Everyone makes my daughter and our entire family comfortable and allows my daughter the ability to thrive in her class. Her confidence has come so far over the last 2 years, not just in class, but also being able to use the skills she’s learning outside too. The classes are run with a structure that is so appealing to toddlers where they have a storyline to follow, with a dress up to match, and then finishes off with tumbling which I think is her favourite part! My daughter asks daily to go to ballet and really looks upto her Teacher Jess. The studio is always clean and the whole running of the weekly classes and concerts is organised and well communicated. We love being apart of Yarra Heights and look forward to another year next year!

Our daughter Amelia is learning Jazz &ballet here, the teacher is great, staffs are very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed everything at Yarra Heights Dance academy, the best!

My daughter has been a student at Yarra Heights Dance Academy for over eight years now and I could not be happier about our choice of dance school. The teachers are always encouraging, professional and genuinely care about the students. Likewise all the students, parents and other staff members are extremely friendly. There is a real sense of community, especially when it comes to things like the concert, exams and competitions.

During our time with Yarra Heights Dance Academy my daughter has tried at least five different dance styles and undertaken numerous exams (with absolutely no pressure). She has also had the opportunity to perform in charity events and competitions. The quality of these performances astounds me each and every time, especially the year end concert.

My daughter has made many friends and gained so much more confidence from being a member of the Yarra Heights Dance Academy family. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Yarra Heights Dance Academy is such a great dance school! We were looking a few years back for something for our toddler to try a few different styles of dancing and found that Yarra Heights offer a class that combines jazz, ballet and tumbling for the little ones! It’s been so great for her over the past couple of years, it’s been lovely watching her confidence grow! The facilities are lovely and the teachers are so wonderful, caring, knowledgeable and really great at what they do! My son has also joined the acrobatics class this year too and is absolutely loving it! I highly recommend for anyone looking for a high quality dance school!

My daughter has been attending Yarra Heights Dance Academy for more than 5 years now and we couldn't be happier! The teachers are highly skilled choreographers who are patient with dancers of varying skill levels and challenge them to achieve their full potential. The whole community is so welcoming that even I decided that I felt comfortable to take up dance lessons myself even though I don't have any prior dance experience. We cherish the friendships we've built over the years through YHDA and find we learn a lot while having fun! We were attending a different dance school a few years ago but are so glad we made the change.

Yarra Heights is the best! The teachers are all fantastic, professional but warm & engaging. My daughter's love of dancing has thrived at Yarra heights, as well as her own personal development & confidence. The routines, costumes & music are all age appropriate for each age group also.

We have been at Yarra Heights for 18 years and couldn’t recommend it enough. My 3 girls have all danced from aged 2 and my oldest is still there at 20. The teachers have all been great, the kids have always found it a fun environment with a great range of dance styles to choose from.

We have been with YHDA for 10 years. I think that says it all really! We have always loved the welcoming community feel - and the hard working dedicated teachers and staff are amazing. The new studios offer a superb dance space that I believe to be the best around. The staff are always understanding and supportive of the challenges that life can throw at you, and are focused on the health and well being of their students. Five Stars

Fabulous teachers at this great dance academy. Lots of different classes and opportunities for a very beginner dancer to those that are more advanced. Amazing professional concerts every year showcasing the skills of the students as well as the talent of the teachers. My daughter absolutely loves dancing at YHDA. My son has just started acrobatics and his love for dance has increased since joining the YHDA family.

We have loved being apart of this dance community for the last three years. I have seen my daughter grow in her confidence and dance technique. We love the friendly nature of the staff and the community.
The business is run extremely professionally, communication is excellent and they are always available to answer questions.
We are very proud to be apart of the high standards of the dance school, in particular the yearly performances are outstanding and so much fun!

My daughter has danced with Yarra Heights for almost six years and absolutely loves it! A lovely dance school, an amazing range of dance classes, excellent expertise and opportunities provided. They have managed to keep the spirit of dance going even through COVID with digital classes. My daughter began dancing at Yarra Heights 4 years ago after a recommendation from my girlfriend.
What we have found right from the start is a strong sense of community that is all inclusive, great pathways for all dance genres and a a sense of being an integral part within a dance family.
The teachers are of a high standard, very welcoming & encouraging for my child to be the best she can be.
She has gained so much since being there including a new passion for dance that has increased her confidence and allowed her to flourish in other dance styles via a scholarship of which we are very proud of.
Whilst this has been a challenging year due to Covid 19, Louise and her staff have ensured that the students continue dancing via an online platform to keep everyone connected and engaged until we return to the studio.
