Yami Yami - Carnegie

The best Naengmyeon (물냉면) and original combination of ingredient's, and the delicious Chncheon spicy chicken is a rare find since only seen in Korea. It’s a hidden gem and there were so many walk-in customers that had to be turned away because it was packed so need to make reservations. It’s a modest looking and unassuming restaurant, but it’s so underrated and one of the best original Korean restaurants in Australia.

Last night I had dinner with my husband, we order pork set, steam rice and sundubu, when we pay I didn’t realize I paid the wrong order, my husband asked me how much for the food and when I told him, he said we have to go back because we paid to much, my husband went to the cashier and told her about our payment, she told us we paid for wagyu set and my husband to her we order pork set (not wagyu set) and she said “ you already eat it “, we are so disappointed with the service. How do we know we ate the wrong menu, I remember the girl who help me order the food, she repeat our order and she said pork set, not wagyu set, I will never going back to Yami Yami

As delicious as ever! Great Korean BBQ with tasty sude dishes. Kimchi soup delicious too. Has chicken with sauce on the side, SO CRUNCHY!

Wonderful food. We had a great time. Food was delicious and served hot. Highly recommended. The staff was so kind and friendly. Would definitely come back.

We had a birthday dinner last night.
The place was small but cosy.
Being a weekday the place was not very crowded. Would recommend making reservations.
We had the small family mix for sharing.
All the meats were juicy, well cooked and delicious. The side dishes were fresh and we had to request for top ups.
We also had the spicy fried chicken which was crunchy and tasty.
The ginseng chicken soup was one of the best we had.
All the foods were washed down with red wine.
It was a night to remember.

Great Korean food and though the place was a bit small, glad we arrived there after lunch so its quiet and the food was served right on time

The place was small but good thing we came there after lunch and it was quiet. The kids enjoyed the Korean bbq with pork, beef and chicken. Too bad we didn’t take much photos to share but overall experience is good.

I find myself here whenever I’m headed to Chadstone. I love the authentic Korean food here, they come in generous portions and it’s so consistently flavourful!

The food is certainly on the extremely pricey side, however their amazing customer service makes up for it. Expect to be seated immediately and served efficiently.

Shame their CBD store shut down awhile ago, I used to dine there quite often.

I was really disappointed from the service standard of the restaurant. Me and my sister arrived there at 19: 30 and there’s three empty tables there but we got informed that theres no empty ones. Then we decided to wait and ask what time we could come back and the staff informed that they are closing at 21: 00 (which the web states they are closing at 21: 30).
Poor service and attitude. Such a disappointing one!

Very underrated KBBQ! Delicious, reasonable prices, cooking done for you. Our waiter even introduced us to a Korean cocktail loosely translating to "after this you forget the night" (?) Definitely didn't forget how good the food was. Would rate 6 stars if I could. Will be back!

Such an awesome little restaurant. The food is so so delicious. One of my favourite places to get Tteokbokki! The BBQ here is super delicious too and the portions are very generous. Definitely worth trying this place out!

Our favourite Korean place in Carnegie. Must try the Chuncheon spicy chicken and ask for a bit more extra heat. Portion was huge! It came with steamed eggs and the combination of spicy food and hot creamy egg was so heavenly good. Also tried the samgyetang as my dad was feeling not well and it was perfect for him.

We've tried to walk in and get a table here numerous times before but they've been too busy to give us a table. I should learn to book because today we did get a table and wow. Great food and service.

Yami Yami Carnegie is our go to place for Korean BBQ since we discovered this place in 2020. Both the beef and pork set are worth trying. The cuts they use are the highest quality and super fresh which is why I think they taste so good. The side dishes are also very tasty and they change each time we go there.

The japchae and tteokbookki are nice too. And if you’re not having BBQ, the galbijim is also worth trying.

We visited this place yesterday and had the usual BBQ. Sad to say we left a little disappointed. We noticed they hired 2 x new staff members. Our meat was overcooked and customer service was subpar. Hopefully they can improve and we will still return.

You know how sometimes you know exactly what you want. Tonight we went looking for Korean BBQ. There were a few to choose from in the neighbourhood and we chose this one because they had a good menu of alternatives. We ended up with a mix of meals including kimchi pancakes, Korean fried chicken, bibimbap, bulgogi, and the beef and pork bbq set. I’d take off a star for not allowing us to cook at the table (technical glitch) but add that star back in for graciously cooking for us. All up it was a great meal.

Korean styled BBQ here was fantastic with good quality of meat and some smoky flavour from charcoal cooking. Other kitchen menus were also tasty. Staffs committed good service and were super friendly. Would deffo revisit!

Been here a couple of times, never disappointed! Staff are super friendly and the food is amazing (both bbq and dishes).
