Absolutely fantastic museum that tells the history of Yallourn, Yallourn North, the power station and much more, including garment displays. There was just so much stuff to see. The museum is looked after by wonderful volunteers.

This is an amazing museum run by volunteers of the local historical society. It has a lot of old photos, clothing, machinery, scale models and many other consumer items from the past local mining industry. You may need about 4+ hours if you want to observe them carefully. There are a heaps of items organized in a relatively less space.

The opening hours are not certain, but mostly open on Sundays. It is a good idea to give them a call before you plan to visit the museum. The phone number can be found on the google page. The volunteering staff is extremely friendly and explain everything to you very clearly and in detail manner.

It has a water fountain which created for welcoming the queen in the past, still operational.

Well worth a visit.
