Xin Hua Bookstore

Lovely little bookstore that carries a variety of Chinese language books. I picked up a recipe book along with a couple of language learning resources and was very happy with the selection.

A very comprehensive chinese book store. Went there for a English-Chinese dictionary. Customer service was superb. Last immediately greeted me as I stepped in and ask if I need help. I showed her a picture of what I need and she gets it right away for me.
I asked about the website and she explained very clearly to me.
If ever need another item, it’s just a phone call and then pick up. Thumbs up!

Great selection of books with friendly service, went there looking for kids mandarin books and found what I needed. Convenient location, close to train and bus station and Box Hill central. Highly recommend.

Reallly nice place, a bit crammy but if you're looking for most Asian books you will find it here.

I agree with the reviewer Janice Ong about one of the staff whose name is Tina. She was rude and arrogant on several occasions when I went there. She lied a few times when she promised to order something for me but didn't. If she wasn't pleased with you she set an atmosphere to make it very unpleasant for you. She must be the boss to afford to do this.

It has a broad range of varieties of Chinese books HOWEVER with rude, sarcastic attitude and bad mannered Chinese lady shop assistant (in her 20s or even early 30s?) in the shop, this will bring a big THUMP DOWN on this outlet. The management must take action on this staff (a short hair lady) counselling /retraining or else you will lose more more customers in the future. She is not fit to be in the customer facing section, should put her at the back end room!

Wide selection of books, if only I had listen to my old folks and study chinese properly rather than chatting up the girls in night classes.
