Wyreena Community Arts Centre reviews
37 It's ok. Very busy, very noisy, can't hear each other talking inside. Better to sit outside if you can. Waitress spilled my father's coffee, didn't apologise and didn't clean it up. Just rushed off.
Cakes are nice so that's something good I guess.
We went to the True Fairies house as part of Wyreena. It is a lovely venue and they have made-over the house in a whimsical, fantasy style. Staff there are "fabulous " and the events they hold there for children and adults are well worth exploring.
Beautiful setting. Only downside was, in the conservatory, it was a little noisy because it was busy. The service was very good and the food was lovely. I had the potato waffle, which was different and tasty. The relish set it off. Playground outside for children. Sunny grassy area for a picnic. Overall worth it. Definitely book ahead.
The café was closed for the Christmas break when we visited recently for a birthday party however the grounds and facilities are beautiful and well-maintained. The playground is fantastic and this truly is a hidden local gem!
Cosy and delightful with a lovely menu.
I highly recommend.
I am looking forward to my next visit.
Five Stars:
This place is fantastic. Almost dont want to recommend selfishly since its a bit of a hidden gem that is already hard enough to get a booking for art sessions or lunch due to popularity, but love these guys. Jo on reception is lovely too. A great place.
Wyreena gets very busy and parking can be difficult. Recently I tried to drop in but couldn't get a park. This time I did find one.
I always enjoy the art gallery. There's a good variety of interesting artists showing every time I visit. I like it a lot and it's why I go to Wyreena.
This time I decided to stay for lunch. They were busy but with three empty tables I thought it would be OK. I stood waiting for a full five minutes. Multiple staff members walked past me without stopping or speaking. The person behind the counter saw me and ignored me. Eventually someone stopped and asked me what I wanted. No hello, no smile. "You can have that table or that table" and off she went.
This day was 34°C. Where you wait to be seated is air conditioned. Where you eat in the conservatory is not. It was uncomfortably warm and multiple guests were fanning themselves with menus. So be aware that if you go on a hot day you won't be cool. There is an outside seating area that is shaded.
When I got to the table I realised how hot and stifling it was and I gave up and left.
Wyreena's Conservatory could be a good spot in the winter when it's not too busy. I might try again then.
It's a two star rating from me, with the third for the art gallery.
It's little children friendly and a Cafe literally near to the park. You can have your coffee and watch your children.
Great playground and lawn area for picnics with little ones. Lots of trees providing beautiful shade. The cafe provides a very tasty range of coffee and food. We purchased lunch and ate on the lawn. Great place
Delightful place to visit - lovely grounds - a bit of history in suburbia! Even has a nice cafe.
Pleasant relaxed sort of place. Nice cafe dining outside in garden setting.on the right sort of day. Food is good, service likewise.
Finally re-opened so strolled across the road for a lil’ brunch, I was not disappointed. ️

Amazing play space for kids, great range of equipment for most ages. Picnic tables and plenty of lawn areas to throw a blanket down and spread out. Caffee is always packed, very noisy inside, recommend you book an outside table if possible. Hard to have a conversation in the conservatory.
Lovely outlook, great food and service. Only downer was it was noisy and it was stuffy as it was a hot day and 3 walls and the roof are glass, so was like a hot house, they opened the doors but I think windows needed to be opened too. Would be too hot for me on a 38deg day! Overall - wonderful and would definitely go again
It's lovely to sit in the conservatory to eat lunch on a glorious spring day. It was a little disappointing that they had already run out of scones at 12.30pm. Very clean and fresh facilities. So popular that it was very full and quite noisy. It would be lovely to be bigger to accommodate more people
Found service was very slow I stood at the counter for quite a while and staff were in the kitchen standing talking.
I had lunch here with friends during the week. The decor and service were both excellent. The food was delicious; the menu was varied. Would certainly go there again.
The playground there was really good! Disability accessible equipment as well. Suitable for younger babies up to older kids. Nice variety. Lots of places to sit in the shade and there seemed to be a cafe directly next to it (but i didn't go)
The playground is modern and there's plenty of different things for kids to enjoy. However I found the cafe staff very rude to myself and my friend as we had 5 young kids between us and they didn't seem to like that.
Beautiful gardens and playground. I enjoyed a soup and sandwiches and will be back for a high tea soon:)
So funny, loved it so much I went back the next day. Gorgeous high tea and brilliant value. Best tip: book/reserve a table as it's busy in school holidays.
