39 Amazing store with a lot of variety and so many cool pieces! The man running the store is a wealth of knowledge and is super friendly.
Very happy with my Rothschild Birdwing butterfly that I picked up.
A must visit spot for those who enjoy taxidermy, wet specimens, butterflies, moths and bugs, old science/medical equipment and other general oddities!
This is an absolutely incredible place, I am yet to find out if this store is indeed ethically sourced, but the stores beauty is immaculate. I myself am a collector and this store is a place I want to visit when I'm in the city. Everything is very high-quality and 100 percent worth the money if you appreciate oddities. I haven't found a single store in real life like this one and you can tell that the owners put some real hard work into this steam punk fairytale shop.
Found this place by chance. Truly magical place for anyone who likes old timey science stuff.
Personable and actively engaged in the ‘personality and story of each specimen’s previous life’ … from a splinter of wood (from a lightening strike incorporated in a still life) to museum quality exhibits.
Splendid conservation, artistic eye and quality. A destination shop in itself
Nothing like this place exists elsewhere. I'm always bringing people here. It's like something from a dark fairytale and madman's dream
Such a cool niche environment with realistic prices on all their skeletons and taxidermy. Really cool collection too with variety of taxidermy birds, foxes, fish and wet specimen that look incredible. Very cool stuff!
A small space, not crowded but you can spend many hours there, not to mention a few dollars. Not expensive but so full of things you just damn want!
A lovely little shop of collectibles and curiosities, from gemstones and fossils to old dentist equipment and sculptures.
Absolutely worth a visit
Amazing Store with loads of interesting and beautiful insects, animals and other peculiar items. Highly recommend!
Such an amazing business! Staff are super lovely and helpful! The array of resin specimens and skeleton specimens is fantastic too at reasonable prices! Definitely has become a favourite to visit when I'm in the city!
Such a cool place with quirky things. Maybe a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth a visit to have a look around!
The most interesting and quirky store I've been in. The owner has put a lot of effort into the shop and you can see the fruits of his hard work. Would highly recommend when in the area
Really really cool, such a unique place I've never seen anything like it, and the owner was really friendly
Bought my first butterfly here! Everything is beautifully well-crafted, a bit pricey but definitely worth it.
Really warm, friendly service and such an eclectic array of worldly wonders that most curious minds would find something of interest
This store is truly a hidden treasure. A lot of interesting stuff in here. The stone section is amazing. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly. There are so many things I want to buy but too bad my bank account doesn't allow me to buy all of them. Will definitely come back in the future to buy something for myself and pick some unique gifts for others.
What a surprising find! Walking from our hotel to the malls, we passed this shop and decided to drop in because of the interesting displays on the window.
There's just one guy manning the shop who seems quite knowledgeable on the collectables. This place is also a tiny museum, displaying animal bones, preserved carcass, etc. Almost all can be purchased.
A very interesting shop filled with old scientific instruments and curios.
Quite possibly the most interesting shop in Melbourne.
One of the most interesting stores I've been too! All sorts of insects, bones, Fossils, taxidermy, shells and vintage items. Plus, the guy running it is actually really nice and chill
