Both my son and I have joined the gym. Myself having always wanted to try boxing and wanting to get a bit fitter have joined the boxing program. My son did the kickboxing program and has committed to doing it Full-time. The people are friendly and welcoming to new people. Did my first session yesterday and really enjoyed the challenge. I am grateful my son encouraged me to try something new. As well as the staff and trainers I've met so far. If you want something challenging and fun it's worth having a go. Thanks.

I cannot recommend this club more highly. A membership here isn’t just a pass into to a gym, it’s access to a community that’s full of opportunities to grow, better yourself and make strong friendships along the way. Also as a female in a male-dominated sport I’ve only ever felt comfortable and empowered. Oh, and I’ve developed a healthy obsession with Muay Thai here too! The coaches are masters of their craft and equipped to help you achieve your goals no matter what they are.

Cannot express my love enough in words for this gym! The culture is strongly family orientated and you will be made to feel comfortable from day one no matter your skill level.
I started just under two years ago with no experience fighting whatsoever or intentions of fighting!
This year I took part in a 12 week fight camp with Dwayne where we hustled 5/6 days a week in preparation for a fight. Without a doubt one of the best decisions I’ve made, I was pushed to limits I didn’t know I had in me, learnt some real discipline and made some great relationships throughout the experience!
Much love to the team at WFC

At the start of 2020 I was in a pretty rough place mentally and was really struggling with my weight also.
Then after seeing a bunch of adds on Facebook I was convinced to try out a Muay Thai beginner bootcamp, and I instantly I fell in love with Muay Thai and all the people involved.
I made friends for life instantly, this is now legitimately my second family.

They did the most possible to stay engaged over the covid debacle with online content and I went from having no interest in fighting whatsoever to now just recently competing in my 6th Cartel Wars Amateur event and now I can't stop.

So I definitely recommend you come down and talk to the girls at the desk if you're keen on trying something different and meeting heaps of new friends, you won't regret it ️

Awesome coaching and environment, definitely recommend the boot camp for anyone that wants to start Muay Thai or even just for fitness. Try it out!

Staff are abusive to parents and kids. Plus, communication is terrible. Tried calling, leaving messages with staff, only to go months without an answer (until the abusive calls started). I have the voicemail and phone call recordings, of the abuse, from the owners wife.

If your looking for a coach, look for Ben Watson. He is absolutely fantastic. I wouldn’t be looking anywhere else. Big props Ben.

I had a lot of choices on which martial club I could join in my area. Work fitness cartel offers a bootcamp for absolute beginners and this is what interested me! The bootcamp was great and the coaches here are all so kind and have so much knowledge. Finishing the bootcamp I now do classes. Would highly recommend

My first visit here and I've experienced nothing less than I've expected: friendly people, smiling faces, cleanliness and warmth!
I like it!

Not a bad gym had wanted to go for around 4 years and was expecting a good class and learning alot. In the 3 weeks (6 sessions) while I was there I saw dramatic improvement in my technique and power, a very big surprise.

I very much recommend this gym for teen kids for either self defence or just to learn how to fight since it's an inviting and welcoming community and the kids are very supportive of each other.

My son had attended this kick boxing Centre for 2 years. We have always supported local business in every way we could, buying all the merchandise from here, attending all paid events and contributing to fund raisers.
I had paid upfront for the whole year for my son to undertake 3 lessons per week as he really enjoyed the sport.
We had purchased new shin guards form WFC paid $90 and after his second lesson they came unstitched and was told from Kirra that my son was putting them on incorrectly. She made me call the supplier in QLD to ask for a refund. She tried to pass on the buck to me as she did not honor her product she sold to me. The supplier agreed to refund WFC after telling me that Kirra should have been the one calling them directly, not myself.
This purely shows an inexperienced operator and no care for the customer.

Shortly after covid 19 came into play and we could no longer attend the center just like everybody else. Before term 3 was about to begin, I phoned her to ask if she could refund me the remaining last 2 terms as we would not be attending. Kirra replied by saying that she had to discuss this with Dwayne and she would get back to me. This never happened so I made contact again and Kirra refused to refund me any part of the fee in which I had paid. Kirra had informed me that I should read the website of WFC as it states no refunds are given. This was added during covid 19 to not be liable for refunds.
Not to mention in the 2 years of attending this center I have never been issued a receipt for the up front payments nor any merchandise I had purchased or any form of contract. As you have NOT been a business owner long enough, let me educate you, that as per the ACCC a business must provide a receipt for anything over $75. You have failed to do so.

I just want to put it out there to everyone reading these reviews that it"s important to know these things and know that NEVER PAY UPFRONT like I did. If these were good loyal people they would have done the right thing and helped me out, and I may have returned. But when you are greedy and money hungry people will speak up and inform other members of the community. Other parents kids who also attended from my sons School as well, had also left once they were informed of our situation. I guess that's why this business is trying so hard with paid advertising to engage more people.
And if you do try to contact me to offer me a refund, or to take this review down, you got no hope. Keep the money as it was never about the money, its about the principal. My son will go elsewhere where he is appreciated!
I also find it amazing that there is another 1 star review mentioning greed!

Well equipped gym, has all the essentials and then some.
Since most members go for the classes, there's always a free spot in the weight training area, which is a win for me!

The gym as a whole is run well, coached well and is a family. The WFC experience has changed my life for the better

The gym and bootcamp program has been everything I wanted and more. The hybrid of learning Muay Thai whilst getting fit is made easy for you at this gym, and I cannot stress enough how friendly and supportive everyone there is - no ego's, but all hard working skilled people. Moreover, if you are lucky enough to get Brit as your coach, she will bring consistently enthusiastic, well thought out, and considerate attitude to each lesson. The gym on the whole has a great rustic feel too, the best decision i've made this year by far.

WFC is a great place to train, I started recently and they do a great job of making you feel welcome as a beginner. They even went the extra mile by giving me a call after I signed up to see how I was doing, and they check in via email as well. These things show that it's a business run with love and care, and that they appreciate their members - well done guys

I purposely waited to finish my bootcamp to give my review. I have been to other Muay Thai gyms and generally the approach was to get in and get your hands dirty which was a very poor approach as my technique was poor and I felt awkward to even throw jabs let alone kicks. The classes put together by Dwayne is just spot on. It's made to ensure that the students are not set up to fail before they even start. Obviously Muay Thai is not for everyone but they seem to offer BJJ and MMA and have a gym as well. I thought the cost per week is reasonable considering a PT session is at least 50 bucks anywhere if not more and their membership fee covers unlimited classes etc. The other issue I have had at other gyms were egos. I think with the way Dwayne has done his classes, it ensures people come up generally at the same level which I think is great for a beginner.
