Woolworths Newtown reviews
47Fantastic store, nice and clean, loved that there is parents parking. I would give this store 5/5 Stars however there is no reception in the store so I I use the woollworths app for my shopping list and if I need to use banking I can't as there is no reception. If I am only getting 1 or 2 items, I will go to this store.
Nice new big store. Very clean. Fresh produce. Lots of variety. Great friendly staff. Onsite fresh Deli & Bakery.
Love the new look Woolies Newtown. It's bright, set out very well and, as usual, staff are helpful and welcoming. I always use this Woolies because, not only is it my local, but a few years ago the Manager helped me out on Christmas Eve when I locked my keys in the car and lost a $100 gift card. With his much needed help, I was on my way in no time. Thanks guys!
Nice updated Supermarket. More space now, more products and wider Isles. Carpark takes a bit of getting used to, less spaces and smaller lanes, but the extra store space had to come from somewhere. Great for the neighbourhood.
Terrible place staff don't know what they are doing and the new shop is designed really poorly.
It has a very cold atmosphere I don’t get a good vibe it should have been painted a brighter colour it looks so gloomy and depressing its so dark it looks like a warehouse and I don’t like the entrance I hate it also I don’t like the isles they are narrow The old Safeway was much better so were the isles and the deli and the fruit section and it was brighter and it had a much better atmosphere and the entrance was much better it was easy to get in and out
At least paint the joint, woollies can't afford it I'm sure.looks like a prison, when you get inside, worse then a tip. Just saying y'all
I broke my ognal lego batman video game dis for the wii orginal and ei ham very sadsd i hatr5we eyou
I've really gone off this Woolies. The cashier, Brenda, is really grumpy, to the point that I'd prefer to go to the G.west store than risk having to check out my groceries with her.
Also one of the regular deli workers is really terse and a bit grumpy.
Lady at cash counter was too busy to talk with other customer and due to which she makes me wait 15 minutes which eventually result in completion of my lunch break in woollies itself.
Not the best Woolies by a long shot. Tired and dated store with really mixed standard of staff that seem to be happy enough to stand around and talk to each other when the line is long. Unfortunately no option to self serve either. Hopefully when they eventually refurb the store they will improve standards/attitudes there as well.
I enjoy shopping at Woolworths Newtown, very friendly & efficient staff - that know which aisle products are in, if asked.
The aisles are stocked well & easy to locate what I'm looking for, i would like to work in this Supermarket, very organised & efficient.
A smaller Woolworths. The set up is tight. And the range is a little limited. But it a ok place to go.
Went on the weekend and there was only 2 registers open, with approx. 10 people waiting at each. Too bad if you are in a rush. I never go to this Woolworths because it is very run down and the layout is a mess. But now, I won’t ever go back. Waste of time. I was stunned that the service desk didn’t call for more registers to open.
Average woolies. Very small and aisle locations don’t make much sense. Small selection of products.
Not too busy, found a park easily, but didn't have the vegan roast I wanted for my daughter or any vegan custard! But I did find a delicious plant based cake.all staff very helpful when I asked about certain products though.probably should have looked earlier for the roast but I work in retail too and so crazy hours have limited by availability to shop until now!
Store is not to bad, but I've been in better, probably a bit too cluttered for my liking. Parking is horrible and to get back onto the main road its a nightmare
Tired 80s looking supermarket that does not befit the area. Come on Woolworths. Time to do the modernisation and improve
Nearest woolies from my home. It appears to be congested at times relatively from other stores. More appealing store nearby is Pakington Strand Shopping Centre, quite spacious and has more variety as well.
Why can't I buy smoked cod when it is in stock in the freezer but can't be sold frozen and the deli cabinet is half bare?
