Woolworths Metro 222 Exhibition St reviews
19Got to wonder why they bother with this metro. Very limited range of most household items. More of a 7-11 food to go type mini mart. Doesn't impress compared to others.
Staff were very helpful and gracious after we had a little accident at the checkouts - thank you
I only gave 1 star because you can't give
0 stars.
I've seen morons in my time but not so many & as frequently as at Woolworths metro at 222 Exhibition Street.
To say they are ignorant, arrogant & just mentally vacant is a complement.
That's before you get to the fact that most of them hardly speak English which should be mandatory in a job where one is dealing with customers.
Last time I was there I ask for $15 cash out with a purchase but they said you can pay cash but no cash out because the manager says so.
There's only 1 self service machine out of about 10 machines that could take cash & give change but they made it card only.
If you ask for cigarettes & they can't find the brand they'll just say they don't have them.
This could go on for several brand requests.
On one occasion they put some onions on the scales & entered them as potatos.
Today I reluctantly go in there to get something as no other store had what I wanted but they wouldn't accept cash as payment.
They tried to tell me the machine is "broken. "
They think because they are so naive & mentally void that everyone else is & they think that is going to come across as a logical & common situation.
The list goes on. So thick, so rude, so lost.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
When the management is that incompetent it only filters down from there.
No wonder it's so easy to become a manager in so many of these chain stores.
They obviously don't even need to have a basic education.
Rolled the dice on some discounted cooked buffalo wings 3-pack (ready to eat) at 4: 50pm Tuesday arvo. Got a stomach ache about an hour after eating.
The kicker is that it was only discounted to half price, so not even your 50c ready to throw out level of discount despite being prepared before lunchtime!
These chicken nuggets transported me to the dunes of the Sahara desert, that’s how dry they were. Not even the Mild Sweet Chilli sauce could prepare my taste buds for this arid experience. Woolies still hasn’t found their spice rack in aisle 2, the bread crumbs were as tasteless as an english breakfast. Stick to the Chicken wings.
Convenient, but as it’s a smaller store you may arrive there and they don’t stock what you’re after, but a normal Woolworths store does
Going to matinee and wanted something to eat and saw this Woolworths Metro supermarket. Perfect! Got a nice cheese and salad sandwich and some salt n vinegar chips. Has all the basics you need even though of course small store. Also have a barista coffee maker on site. Boy I wish they had that my local Woolworths that would be great while doing big grocery shop. Actually I wonder if I could become a Woolworths mystery shopper. I have my regular stores, Moorabbin and Hampton while on occassion visit Southland, Highett, Bentleigh and now Exhibition St. So obviously if I see a Woolworths I go in.
Very limited range. What they do have is often out of stock. Walk a bit further and go to a proper Woolies at QV.
Great deals and politeness in the early hours of the morning from the staff. Good vibes in the place.
Extremely rude and horrible BWS employee! The rest of Woolworths and the staff there are brilliant! But sadly this one guy who works there was just terribly rude! 1/5 stars from me:),
Quite small, but great selection of quick/already preped meals. Quite close to work, so very handy.
Good layout that stocks most of what a normal Woolworths would stock.
Products easy to find.
Mostly friendly security at entrance which greets you on entering.
Prices are in comparison.
The hot deli often runs out of stock early and is inconsistent with products.
Handy place for workers to stock up on items.
Worst metro Woolworths in Melbourne.
Items limited and very overpriced. Not much fresh meat and very limited vegetables.
The lady with dark skin was super unprofessional. Talking loudly on the phone while she was on the job and talked to customers rudely.
One extra staff for the security staff. Thank you so much for getting out of the way to help.
Call me old fashioned if you like. But i don’t trust a grocer that keeps their cheese on the shelves and the crackers in the fridge.
The staff there are awesome. Very friendly and always a pleasure to see. In particular the tall girl with the brown hair. She’s hilarious and a consummate professional. I luv your fried chicken boxes there yumbo for $6.
Just wanted to tell you I think you all Rock.
Simon.
Really convenient for grabbing everything & a BWS on site too. Staff here are all super friendly. Makes a boring task of grocery shopping bearable!
I am not overly impressed that these metro stores dont have the same savings as other woolworths stores. Items i buy each week are more ecpensive here than in the larger stores. Not necessary. I understand variety is kess in smslker store but they are not that small. If u can put high priced items in there you can put s low price ootion as well. Its a balance like ecerything. But i noticed they had no no name or cheap brsnds anywhere. I think hey coukd do better in his area.
Closed for 5 days and no info online!
I saw 4 other people turn up when I did to find the whole place shut. Not very professional Woolies. A lot of people depend on this store believe it or not. Treat us better
Produce is not fresh compared to the main store in the QV.
Bought some flat Lebanese bread the other day.moulding after 2 days!
Mental note.only buy non-perishable produce at this Woolies.
