Woolworths Literature Lane reviews
20 Bad experience because of the rude male staff with spectacle. There is something happened on the screen after I done my payment but I wasn't sure what is happening. I waited a bit and then was about to leave. Suddenly, this rude staff just appeared to block my way and said: Stop!
Then he key in something and only said: Payment. He walked way.
After that, I only realized my payment didn't go through at the beginning. I felt upset because the way he handle this situation is very rude. He could has say it in a nicer way but he treated me like I am a thief. I didn't walk out straight away but waited abit to check if everything is ok. He neither explain to me the situation nor say please /Thank you.
He was more like commanding me instead of treating me like a customer.
Remember to print your receipt every single time if not you might be treated as a thief.
It is called the Literature Lane store but the main entrance is on Elizabeth Street. On weekends and late at night the Literature Lane doors are locked. It has a reasonable range of items, but it is limited compared to a full store. Prices are the same, but not all the weekly specials are available. Staff are helpful and there are, of course, a few self service checkouts. They have stopped using disposable plastic bags, but many of their fruits and vegetables are wrapped in plastic.
Good for a quick stop on your way home, backpackers or office if you need something. But for extensive household items, I would recommend bigger supermarkets at Melbourne central/QV in the CBD.
This is a super-convenient little Woollies with just the sort of stuff you might need to duck in for. I wouldn't do my weekly shop here, but it had an awesome range of lunch, dinner and snacks.
For a Woolworths metro it's not bad, it has some handy basic food and other goods. I wish Woolworths would have more hot meals on the go though, not cold, especially during winter months.
A good Woolies with a great range of products to get on the way home.or on the way to work. It's slightly larger than dinner of the other Metro-based stores do there's a bit more variety. Quite handily placed near Melbourne Central, too (near the Elizabeth Street tram stop.
Ordinary supply list, rather small, vegetables need serious checking, other than that everythings in quality.
I am currently disabled and had trouble doing my shopping. I couldn't have asked for more helpful staff.
There's no variety and everything is so expensive, I know it's a city store but it's still woolies so why so expensive for meats
Quiet not too busy, cheap, covenient, enough stocks availability, good latte, customer service is good most of the time, the chicken corn soup was free when i visited luckly.
Excellent selection of items in this store and great checkout service. This is a great place to shop.
Friendly staff and security i am in a mobility scooter and was treated with complete respect. Good on you guys
Great little convenient pop up near work but be warned, the prices are much much higher than walking 1 block to Coles or 2 blocks to Woolworths QV, but for something small the extra price can be worth it if you feel too lazy to walk
Great selection
Great specials
Saved heaps
Always t bought cbd stores were expensive
I accidentally broke a jar of spaghetti sauce and they were very nice about cleaning it up and didn't charge me for it
Small version of Woolworths Safeway Elizabeth st city suitable for quick shopping I don't know how busy this place when I visit it was quite clean and tidy great services street parking if you're in a hurry public transport trams stops right in front.
Convenient for a quick shop, enough variety. No queues. Coffee available too, just like some of the larger stores!
Nice & small but has what you need like a iga store. Their freshly made coffee is really good better than most upmarket coffee shops. Friendly staff & the standout thing is all thought they have self serve checkouts they have checkouts with staff real customer service unlike most of there much larger supermarket's
Clean and tidy with modern features. Not a massive shop but caters to most last minute requirements.
Good for basic stuff shopping. Limited options and some stuff higher priced than Woolworths store
