Woolworths Carlton reviews
37Very conveniently located and surprisingly well stocked for a relatively small branch. Friendly staff.
Open late and in a convenient location. Prices are so high though, but that’s not the fault of this Woolies in particular.
The whole process is easy and foolproof. The packaging of my order. Phone notification of when it is coming.excellent delivery service people who are kind enough to carry it to the kitchen. I am a chronic asthmatic and senior. I very apprecitive. Wendy lea
The other Woolies I visit for a change from the QV store. Located underneath Lygon Court on Lygon Street and accessed via the pedulator, opposite the Amcal Pharmacy. It has everything available. If you can't find an item, just ask the staff in their green uniform. Worth a visit.
With a small footprint, it has everything you'd ever need. Wish it had a bakery with it's own baked fresh bread.
Before you read the ratings i want to clear one thing up. I gave one star because the visit was during the day. The day staff are hopeless, arrangant, Ignorant to say the least.
I went to the store wanting Safeway to arrange for a phone i purchased in April 2022, to be sent to be repaired under warranty. The store manager said to me "No, NOT my PROBLEM"! I had the original receipt but he would not have a bar of it, as far as he was concerned its "Tuff Love" not his problem. Optus told me to take it to the retailer who sold it to me as its an Optus handset. I'm yet to have this issue resolved.
The night staff a Safeway Carlton, they are perfect i shop there at least 3 nights out of 7, ive never had an issue with any of the staff or security.
The old lady with a short hair at the self checkout, she is a STAR! She's so lovely! Sorry I didn't know her name. But thank you, you made my day all the time.
Issue is parking. $40 gets one hour free & $80 2 hr but have to scan barcode at bottom of Woolworths receipt. Last 3 times scanner not working on Woolworth docket. Does not accept Amex but not shown on screen. Only in fine print at bottom of what looks like a receipt. When u get to boom no open as not paid. Then require Re scan & payment. If cannot find docket & to let other cars out charges full amount. Security says he will fix but cannot & sends u back to original scanner machine where told need to send in a e mail complaint. Woolworths not able to provide e mail address which is not on the receipt. Very frustrating & it is time & poor service not the $ s that is the issue
Terrible shopping experiences with this branch. FLIES? In the mushrooms. No explanation, no solution whatsoever. Not replying complaints on food quality.
Fruits are rotten and no one is able to deal with problems for the customers. Staffs trying to give away free bags and then charged us in the end. A scam you can call. One of the worst Woolies in Melbourne.
Wow. Woolworths again huh? What can you expect here? Probably the same as everywhere else all over Australia. 12 stars what a place.
It's my least favourite.
I just despise punch ups and bad security.
Oh well. I suppose I could pretend to be an angel walking around to happy it up.err.perhaps!
Not all that bad however there was a gentlemen following me around when I was buying foil. Great store, very busy just buy your foil somewhere else.
Best Woolies in central Melbourne! My local Woolies is always clean and staff are nice and friendly, products are generally well found and fresh fruit nd veg are near 100% ready to eat or last for a good amount of time before best before dates. Great customer service to add also!
The Management are threating and just so rude I was left very upset and anxious The worst shopping experience of my life Steve and the bottle shop guys are lovely
Good location, friendly staff, quality products and opening hours are very late, up to 11pm. Will recommend those that want a late night spree
Not great for vegetarian and vegan options compared to other Woolworths locations (Docklands in particular). This location does not stock ~20-30% of Woolworths in-app specials. This means you cannot really rely on Woolworths advertisements at this location. The District Docklands location is the most in-line with the weekly Woolworths specials. If you are following the deals weekly, don’t bother coming here, go to District Docklands (the new North Melbourne location is similar to the Lygon location = relatively bare bones). Pay attention to the scales. One relatively small Fuji apple weighed 0.88kg on the scale I used for self checkout. They closed the register once I notified them but it goes to show that if you snooze, you lose, and they happily take your money.
A good sized store with a broad range of products. Well located with lots of paid parking available.
Woothworths for as is the first store with professional ethics and selling the most fresh food and vegetables plus a variety of deodorants perfusion, shampoos and the most recently goodies of every department. I feel proud to have my store close to me and my family.
Thank you woodworth and staff
The WW store in Sunshine is the only supermarket l've been to that has little regard for infection control. Shoppers wear masks to try and do the right thing and to protect themselves and you cannot on many occasions be bothered to have wet wipes in the dispenser for the trolleys or sanitiser in the automatic dispensers as you enter the store. Bottled hand sanitiser is not hygienic. And this is from a store who has had to close down for a deep clean cause of a staff member having Covid19. I spoke to two Managers about it on two separate occasions, though there has been no attempt for infection control at the entrance for many months. One staff member told me it was the Managers who were meant to replenish these infection control stations so why aren't they doing it? One shopper last night tried to sanitise his hands but nothing there calling it "pathetic" in exasperation. I told him this is normal for Sunshine. But pathetic is right, as is lazy, simple and risky. If l got Covid that was traced back to your store, l would most certainly sue you and you better be cashed up for the legal expenses to defend it and/or the compensation to pay for my pain and suffering and ongoing medical expenses and loss in wages, if l survive cause your policy may exclude Covid19 related claims. Visit Coles and see how the professionals do infection control cause you guys are hopeless. You're happy to sell hand sanitiser and wipes but too stingy to keep your dispensers full, not giving shoppers the opportunity to protect themselves. That's more than pathetic. Tell your Risk and OH&S Managers to lift their game or find other jobs cause at the moment, this is your biggest exposure and our defence will be that you did not take all reasonable cautionary steps to provide adequate infection control for shoppers in your store.
Really good. During this Covid-19 situation also, they have maintained social distancing and taken care for sanitization.thus making it easier for shopping for us.
