This place is, in a word, idyllic. My stay was absolute perfection. From the beautiful gardens to the stunning interior and accommodations. Erin, the owner, met all of my needs and responded very quickly to any questions I had. I will definitely be coming back to this little slice of heaven.

What an exquisite cottage surrounded by beautiful gardens. It had so many lovely comforts and Erin went above and beyond for anything we needed. Sitting in front of the fireplace playing board games, was a delight. So relaxing and serene! We were also lucky enough to come across a family of lyrebirds during one of morning walks in the gardens. We definitely want to visit again!

The retreat and gardens far exceeded our expectations. Cosy, warm, comfortable, huge spa. The gardens were spectacular, we spent hours wandering through them. Highly recommend a stay here.

An absolutely enchanting garden with a gorgeous Art Deco house. We recently stayed here after getting married in the Cloudehill Gardens next door. We were able to host an intimate reception at the retreat and it was just so lovely. Erin was incredibly helpful, understanding and communicative along the way, we can’t thank her enough and we can’t wait to come back and visit again. Would highly recommend for any occasion, a dreamy, romantic hideaway in the mountains.

I proposed to my girlfriend here a few weeks ago and everything was perfect! The setting was everything I’d hoped it would be, the staff were so helpful and the gardens were incredible. My now fiancé absolutely loves it.

What a truly special getaway! From the moment you walk in, you instantly feel relaxed. This cottage has everything and more for a truly indulgent experience. It really feels like you’ve stepped into a bygone era, from the old fashioned music playing upon your arrival to all the little touches from the hosts. Thank you for a wonderful getaway.

It was the most perfect stay. The cottage is truly beautiful& very much enjoyed the luxury of the spa. Not to mention the most incredible views from the deck and house. It truly is so special and can only imagine the views in every season would be equally as spectacular. Also really appreciated the attention to detail with yummy cheese board & wine x

Location was superb nestled amongst the forest and wildlife. Only a few minutes drive to the Olinda township and not even 10 min drive to Sassafras Village! Exceptional breakfast provisions offered and lovely extras of fruit, biscuits, port, chocolates and a bottle of bubbly. Free wifi and comfortable bedding. A couple of other sensational features which this cottage has which sets this apart from other stays in that area is the indoor Jacuzzi and open wood fireplace. We did however feel it necessary to point out a few things which didn't meet our expectation with the hope that this honest review will be taken constructively by the owners. We had minimal contact with them and found them to be somewhat aloof. The lounge suite looked and felt evidently worn with cracking and fraying in the leather as did the dining chairs with a couple of torn seats. The back door leading to the patio was jammed so we couldn't access this area unfortunately. The oven rangehood was not working when cooking the lovely breakfast provisions so we had to open the kitchen windows for ventilation and to avoid smoking up the place. One of the bins in the bathroom of the spare bedroom had not been emptied from the previous guests - It was clearly missed during cleaning but not a huge problem. Some squeaky floorboards need attention especially the one just before the main bedroom. The cottage could also do with a scent diffuser to help it smell nice and fresh. The parking area has no lighting at all and should really have some illumination as it is pitch dark by 6pm and impossible to see whats in front of you. Woolrich rd leading to the property is unsealed and very rough and care needs to be taken as we hit some very deep pot holes.

More than just a terrific bed and breakfast. Woolrich Cottage is a beautiful 2 bedroom (& 2 bathroom) residence. Well equipped kitchen, cozy lounge and great breakfast supplies. The deck is private and pretty too.
We would strongly recommend Woolrich Cottage to people looking for a peaceful quaint sojourn in the Yarra Ranges.

We stayed here for our wedding choosing Woolrich for its Art Deco styling, we were not disappointed.
The gardens are beautiful for wedding photography as well, we even saw a resident Lyrebird wondering around.

Great place to unwind. So close to the center of town but this cottage is surrounded by wilderness and the view is private and cosy

We have been there several times, and it is always beautiful. The provided breakfast and gardens are divine. I have never had such a stunning vista from the room, I could happily sit there all day and do nothing but look out the window and listen to the birds.

Very well done for a B&B. Clean, quiet, cosy, good heating and comfortable bed. Big spa bath, average shower. Plenty of food made available. Has a fantastic and large garden to wander around in l. You also get free entry to the Cloudehill nursery and gardens next door. Highly recommended

What a beautiful place to stay set in the most beautiful gardens. Right next door to Cloudehill Gardens and Diggers Nursery. The Cottage was immaculate with a roaring fire and breakfast provisions that kept us going all day. This is now one of our favourite accommodation options in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges.
