Had a lovely interaction with the sales assistant today. She told me some interesting info about the advantages of having yarn with a wool fleck (apparently fleck made from other materials can work its way to the surface of a garment and be lost). I thought it was particularly nice that she showed interest in my knitting project. This is why we need brick and mortar stores!

I loved the wool but it was in a giant skein and very hard to untangle. I had to make it into smaller balls myself. Very time consuming.

Woolarium is a great local yarn store with a great selection of local as well as imported yarns. I was so happy to see locally dyed yarn being promoted (the owner is also a spinner and dyer she is an amazing wealth of knowledge).
Notions are good with big stock of Addi needles as well as Clover notions.
Glad to have this great store on the north side of town.

I like this shop, but the opening hours are odd. Knowing this, checked times before I headed down today at 4pm and it was inexplicably closed at 4pm with no sign or anything to explain.
