Favourite place to record and create in Melbourne. Best vibe and atmosphere in the control room of a recording studio going around. Insane gear available too. Stolzy is an absolute legend and consummate professional behind the desk with incredible knowledge of gear and dexterity at the desk. Always recommend Woodstock studios Balaclava.

Hands down the best studio experience we've had to date. We tracked an EP live and had a ball, Richard really captured our band and got us sounding the way we have always wanted to sound.
Amazing collection of Analogue gear and it all works!

It's extremely rare to find such an incredible collection of well cared for vintage/classic recording gear including a refurbished Neve console and some of the best mics in the business. My recent recording experience at Woodstock took me back to days of EMI Studio 301, with a magic quality of sound and supportive network of people managed by Richard Stolz - a highly experienced engineer producer who simply 'gets it'. There is passion, pleasure and creativity here. I'd never think to look at another studio, this is it. A great find!

Undoubtedly one of the best recording studios in Australia. If you know about this place then you know. Rich and Sofie's passion for music and all things studio service/culture is second to none. For me the combination of the Neve and all the other super well maintained classic analog and digital equipment plus the layout of the rooms, the monitoring and the powerful computer workflow are my favourite things about working at Woodstock. Couldn't recommend it highly enough

Made an album here in 2005, Troy Trigwell ran the studio at the time. A great location, facilities, selection of instruments and mics, and access to the best players I have ever worked with and top engineers. Professional service.
