Woodfrog Bakery reviews
12Have been coming to Woodfrog for the past few years. Love the white sourdough (we get it sliced - much less of mess at home!). We go through 2-3 loaves a week. The olive loaf is also great. On the naughtier front, their almond croissants and pain au chocolats are family favourites. Friendly folk (like in all of their outlets). Park in the off-street carpark off Orrong Rd (tip).
I love the bread here! Crispy on the outside, chewy and moist on the inside. My favourites are pumpkin bread and fruit loaf.
Pumpkin bread has soaked soy beans which add texture and nutrition. Fruit loaf has figs, apricots, golden raisins and currants. Want to try Soir bread next time!
Pumpkin loaf is amazing, super soft and delicious. Given a 3 star as also bought 2 croissants that for $5.50 each were very dry. Would buy my bread again from here!
Our favourite bread. Beautiful ingredients that don't upset sensitive tummies. This is the way bread should be. I would love if they had some kind of loyalty program or discounts for multi-buys as we buy a lot of bread here.
Been a customer for many years since the original bakery opened up in St Kilda and more recently have frequented the Elsternwick store which is closer to home. The bread has always been top notch but the prices have got out of control lately. $5 for a plain croissant is ludicrous. For comparison we were paying 1 euro (about $1.54) for fresh croissants in France earlier this year. Looking for a new bakery.
Great products and great service! Their pain au chocolat goes great with an espresso and their challah buns have a whole new layer to my homemade cheeseburgers. While cheeseburgers aren’t kosher, the result was a match made in heaven.
The lady thar served me on Sunday was so friendly, the food was delicious as well. Will be coming back soon
Seriously the maillard reaction on the outside of these loaves will make your mouth water for weeks!
Guys your prices are extremely high.in addition you charge 50 cents for your bags. Its insulting. I often give money to the homeless across the road sitting outside Coles.but its the principle. Please get real
"Contact us by email" they say. I asked two simple questions. Days later they promised to answer them (which would have taken on minute), but weeks later NO REPLY. Useless, therefore they have lost a new customer.
Was very happy to see the famous Woodfrog in the neighbour! It is my go to place for getting the artisan bread. The baguette is my number one and when I want to treat myself, I get the buttery croissant ;) Just keep up the size of croissant sometimes they are tiny! T_T But taste is sooo good
Best bread in Melbourne! The honey oat loaf is a favourite and the baguettes are like a piece of Paris. Very friendly staff too.
