I leased a property through Woodards for a number of years and established a successful family smash repair business. Imagine my surprise that during the course of the lease, an illegal smash repair shop with no insurance, no ABN, no workcover and no EPA regulated spray booth was setup across the laneway from me. When I questioned Pearl at Woodards as to who the landlord of that property was, I was told she had no idea. I questioned her multiple times over the course of a number of months, meanwhile this illegal smash repair "chop shop" was leaving cars in the laneway out the front of my business dismantled, pumping harmful chemicals into the air near schools and houses in the community and washing paint chemicals down the storm drain. After further investigation, I later found out the landlord of both factories was indeed the same and this was information Pearl deliberately hid from me. I understand Woodards did not manage the other property, but Woodards was more than complicit. They were aware they had rented the first property to a smash repair business and did not discuss with the landlord the ramifications of allowing this chop shop to be setup. Woodards actively lied to me in an effort to hide the identity of the landlord. Aside from finding her to be a horridly rude human being, Pearl owes a duty of care to the tenants which help keep her employed. This illegal chop shop destroyed the look and reputation of my business. The total lack of transperancy and assistance is nothing short of a disgrace. I have now had to shut down the business and close up shop. Thank you Pearl and Woodards for your role in all of this. A well established family business closed up (partly) due to your deceit. I understand they did not lease the chop shop property on behalf of the landlord but they certainly did their best to conceal the identity of the landlord and therefore directly affected my business. As a property owner, I would never use Woodards to manage anything in my property portfolio nor would I recommend them to anyone. Beware.

It’s been two months we moved to property and haven’t fix the problem in the house. She has all the foolish excuses for it.we living in a house has major security issues. Double story house has absolutely small one Airconditioning hating unit and no way that can cool or warm the house, Informed about it and property manger reply was to install our own heating and cooling system to the house. I can’t believe that she said that. I will take it further and guys do not get or mange properties from woodards. You will be frustrated.

Rented some time ago with them, and while all started out well initially, it went south pretty quickly. When the front gate failed we were informed the tenant didn’t want to repair it, and it’s fine if it didn’t close… this was unacceptable with children and while it ultimately was sorted after I did the let work for parts, it was just a taste. We couldn’t secure the house properly, and was essentially falling apart. After completing many repairs ourselves, we decided to move. In the process of moving our movers accidentally broke the stove top. After our was brought to our attention we offered to pay for the repairs. But they attempted to blame us for other damage that was clearly a sign of age. So as not to affect our bond, we wanted to pay out of cash under the condition we get to keep the old stove. This was agreed to verbally and in writing however they attempted to get the funds through our bond, and while we ultimately got them to retract the cracked window, and pay with cash, they never returned the damage stove to us. Additionally when all of this did occur, they’re staff became rude and confrontational.

Natasa, have been efficient, responsive open and honest. Really looking forward to being new tenants with Woodards so far they seem far more personal and like they care.
