Wombat Cafe & Store

Have been going to Wombat since day dot [how lucky did we get that a vegan cafe arrived on the Peninsula within weeks of us moving down from the city]! The staff are always helpful, even when they are being run off their feet from the sheer pace of the joint, the food and coffee is always delicious, and the little shop is great to have for vegan goodies to take home. Thank you Wombat!

Food was good although the beetroot salad wasn't as fresh as it could have been and the gingerbread coffee had so much ginger it wasn't palatable sadly. The waitress couldn't break a smile but the other staff were lovely. Great menu but maybe masks would be a good idea for staff in these Covid times.

I discovered this cute place through a vegan podcast where the owner was on. My partner and I had breakfast there last weekend and the scrambled tofu was the best we ever had. Big portion and a lovely presentation of the food. I also love that you can buy local products in the store. I wish there would be more places like this.

Went here for breakfast with my partner. The tofu scramble is the best I have had in Melbourne! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We will be back again!

AMAZING. Me and my partner go multiple times a week and they always have a great range of delicious and healthy food, and best of all it’s all completely cruelty free! All the staff are very lovely and accommodating. Even if you’re not eating you’d want to go in for a nice chat! Clean and trendy interior with a large variety of take home goodies. Couldn’t recommend more.

Incredible vegan cafe with a fresh, creative and delicious menu, and friendly staff.

I especially like their scrambled tofu pie, and their Chai's which are full of flavour, rather than some places that just taste like hot milk.

One of my favourite places and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I ordered a carrot cake for a birthday party and it was a hit, super tasty and great value. It was also decorated beautifully.

I'm not vegan, but the coffee was great and so was the vegan toasted cheese croissant. Service and interior was warm and friendly.

Superb! Don't usually take the vegan opinion, but oat milk (Little Rebel) coffee are one of best around.

I love this cafe. Not only are the staff and meals wonderful. The products for sale are brilliant and ambiance very relaxing! Highly recommend if you are in the Dromana area.

Wombat Cafe & Store is outstanding in every way - food is delicious and the service sublime. Couldn't recommend this food destination more highly. We have been many, many times and have always been delighted.

The smoothies and chai were excellent but the food was pretty average. I had the pancakes and they looked amazing but were just too dense with not enough flavour. Lathered with chocolate to make them tasty but once you eat the top pancake, the bottom two are devoid of chocolate and unfortunately much flavour.

The staff were very friendly but was let down by the food

Great cafe with amazing service (waitors and in the kitchen). We ordered our meals at the busiest period on a Sunday lunchtime and they came in quick time. It's a vegan cafe, but the meals are absolutely perfect for meat eaters too.

Friendly helpful service, very large portions for a reasonable cost AND a broad range of exquisite food.
This place is a real gem tucked away around the back of Dromana and I'm super glad to have discovered it.

Wonderful vegan food and lovely staff. Their selection of local crafts and vegan grocery items is also a nice touch, always have a little sticky beak after we finish eating.

Had a spectacular brekky here recently! The menu has heaps of options, and they were really great about my partner's nut allergy. Loved the quotes out the front of the venue, and we had fun skimming through "Penguin Bloom" after ordering our meals, though the wait time was pretty well nonexistent, despite how busy they were! Highly recommended a visit to this sweet little cafe - make it your destination!

Had the jackfruit quesadilla & it was delish. Non-vego partner loved his breakfast burrito - smiles all round.

Great Option for people of any kind! It is a vegan friendly restaurant, but the food is still super delicious! I am not a vegan but I have a family member who is and somehow we always end up back here! Only problem is the size! They need more seating now.
