Wolf on Watton

2 Stars today but only for three important, but easily fixed reasons: 2 of them for covid safely.

First of all, food quality was excellent. Beautiful restaurant with great seating that felt appropriately socially distanced. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great.

Three removed for:
1) The person seating us and who greeted guests on Saturday 6 Feb in the morning was only wearing her mask over her mouth. This continued for the rest of the time we were there so it wasn’t accidental. This is not acceptable or excusable.
2) Staff did nothing to ensure that that we checked in via the QR code. There was also no QR code at the door, even when I asked for it. It was only on the menu.
3) I paid extra for fries with my burger and received the smallest portion of fries I’ve ever seen in my life. The quinoa ‘salad’ that came on the plate was also one spoon full. Although it is my personal preference, I found that very disappointing as it was a taste of of food but without any satisfaction.

The cost of a little more food on the plate would be very low and increase customer happiness. The covid policies are critical to guests feeling safe and to feeling that the restaurant is taking covid seriously. Of front of house staff don’t even know how to wear a mask or choose not to, that makes other hidden safely practices in question. Please pull up your socks and make people feel safe and happy.

Fabulous food in a fabulous venue. Service by ‘Audrey’ was exceptional. Visiting Werribee overnight and so glad the Wolf on Watton was recommended for dinner. Highly recommend a visit!

Best coffee in Werribee no doubt about that.

Beautiful spot. Was lovely to sit out on the balcony and enjoy an amazing cocktail. Wasn't over crowded. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Wait staff are attentive and punctual. Location is lovely over the river. Fortunate enough to have a steak listening to native birds play and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra playing live not far away.

Eaten here a number of times prior to review. Menu has some interesting items not suited to me personally.

Had a delightful experience today at Wolf On Watton! Great food, great coffee and great service. Well done!

Had dinner tonight and it was spot on, a unique venue serving shared plate styled food with well presented drinks. It was my first time here and I will be back!

This place is a joke. Overpriced, rude arrogant staff, horrendous food. The chefs in the kitchen need to have a serious reality check! I've never witnessed such poor customer service in my life. The list goes on I could write a review 10 pages long. Its such a shame to see these type of places still run in this manner. Owners and management have got no idea on how to run an establishment. DO NOT GO HERE!

Best hot chocolate ever creamy and thick. The toastie was delish with generous filling. The staff were under the pump but remained friendly and professional. I will return

Delicious food (any place that does all day breakfast get extra points from me!), fantastic service, plenty of room for the pram. Great location to fuel up before heading to the park.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere. My breakfast was delightful and the coffee was so yum! Will definitely eat here again.

This would be 5 stars but as soon as I said I was waiting for someone, I just got ignored 25 mins before water was dumped on the table and the guy that did it ran away so quick I couldn't ask for a coffee. My friend was late so I sat for 40mins. I would have had 2 coffees in that time. If only someone had offered. Food was perfect though.

Was supposed to have a birthday lunch here last weekend, booked and all, only to find out that they're closed until early January. Then was told via social media they have 'family to catch up with' which okay we all have that, but wouldn't you think with the year we've had they'd try and recoup the money they've lost by allowing people in who want to get out and celebrate, and then take a break in January when it's quiet? Very questionable decision for mine. They could have at least sent out a message that they were closed for those who booked, if my nan didn't live near there we wouldn't have known. But that's not all, a few days later I find out they're open for a private party. So they can open for a private party but not for a booking they apparently didn't have? Very very poor, I will not set foot in there and I will warn others off as well.

Such amazing food! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because a 'quinoa salad' is an odd choice to serve with a burger. If I'm eating a burger I'm hardly worrying about the health aspect lol
Hawaiian chicken burger is highly recommended, hand coated chicken and the coconut chutney is the perfect spread to go with it. Will defs be coming back for more!
Service is top notch, not too overbearing but your server also doesn't disappear on you.

Good coffee, friendly staff. A very nice space with views of the tree canopy along the Werribee river from the back dining space. Almost feels like you are outside.

Thankyou very much for your wonderful hospitality at Wolf on Watto Street yesterday.our group pf eight friends had our first gathering since March owing to the Covid and we were extremely happy with our choice of venue.
Lovely outdoor setting, great menu and superb service from your very friendly staff.

Wines were a bit patchy and the price was a little high. My wife’s pork belly was a little dry and unexpectedly spicy, my chicken Ballantine was very enjoyable. Overall, the meals were nice at a slightly high price. That said, in this location it’s well worth visiting and I suspect that over time it will get better and better. The wait staff were friendly and very knowledgeable, and that’s a big reason I want to go back. I look forward to trying some other dishes next time.
