Wok’s N Dumplings (Traralgon)

Called up ahead of time for an entree and and 3 mains. We were told 10 minutes then they said goodbye. Didn't ask for a name or any reference for the order. Within 5 minutes we got a call asking for details on our order, and got hung up on. When we arrived 15 minutes later and walked in to pay the man couldn't find out order despite us saying it was a phone/mobile order, when he finally found it we were informed it would be 10-15 minutes, were not informed about a card surcharge and was quite abrasive the entire time, including rolling his eyes at us and loudly sighing/houghing.

The food we ordered was with the dietary modification of no capsicum, when we arrived home to eat it we found it full of large chunks of capsicum.

This was a great place for our lunchtime meal. Service was great and the food was delicious and generous amount.

Lovely atmosphere within this restaurant with friendly staff and the fresh handmade dumplings melt in your mouth. My main meal was freshly cooked with the freshest ingredients and the flavour of the meat combination was incredible, highly recommend this restaurant

Amazing food as always. Steamed rice with sweet & sour pork is so delicious. Great serving size as well. Always enough for lunch the next day.

Was so disappointed today. I placed an order for pick up in person, was told 15 minutes. Didn't receive my meal until over an 1 hour and 20 minutes of waiting. Yet 4 people who ordered after me received their meals.
Was told they were cooking it every time I asked. Really disappointed, if you know you are busy, then please do not mislead and inform your customers it's only going to be 15 minutes of wait. This didn't just happen to me, other customers who were waiting impatiently outside were also told the same.
On top of that the food was not of the best quality. I am always a fan of your meals and really saddened by my experience today.

Food was good but didn't give me the drinks I ordered. When I rang said I need to come back in to store to collect them we were staying too far out of town to bother

Amazing food! But please clean the fish tank. It's gross eating dinner staring at a green tank with sad fish in it. Please clean it!

Good value for money, the food is fresh, you don't get a full feeling after 3 mouthfuls and don't feel hungry hours later after eating. Super friendly service. We miss Danny. He was the best front of house staff. He was inviting, super friendly too, always happy to have a chat with the locals too. I hope where ever he left and went to, the people get the same service he delivered to us.

Edit: for some reason they *always* now give hot food, even when asking for mild. Food is still otherwise good and service is friendly.

If you’re after a disappointing dining experience with a “Fawlty Towers” show thrown in, put this venue on your bucket list. Great to order online as a takeaway option where care is given to online/phone orders ensuring all meals are correctly snug in takeaway bags prior to collection (mostly) but dining in midweek after work, it’s like Basil himself is running the joint but dressed in bum-crack displaying trackie dacs and in triplicate - yes three, three front of house staff attending to 12 diners. Mains served as entrees, no mains served at all, entrees given to online customer to appease the walk-ins whilst the kitchen corrected their order but thankfully, the “Basils” could kick back in the safety of the bar, rehydrate and have a giggle.
Not sure what’s the collective noun for a group of bum-cracks in trackie dacs.

The lunch menu is not bad value but the fried rice was terrible, very crunchy and had a funny taste. Friendly service though.

So impressed by both the service and quality of food. Thoroughly enjoyed our night last night. Wonderful attentive host with the most made the experience worth the 30 minute drive.complimentary crackers and home grown oranges topped off a wonderful fresh and delicious meal. We will definitely be back

One of the best meals I've ever had in Traralgon. The owner is extremely friendly and helps make the whole experience even better - and top that off with delicious food and what more could you ask for?

The owner at front reception was very hospitable, also explained everything in the menu. Gave free crackers as well. The food was delicious.will definitely go again when in town next.

Absolutely beautiful Thai fried rice and garlic chicken with vegetables. Eaten here many times always very fresh and tasty! Today was superb

I’m not sure where all of the 4-5 star reviews came from for this restaurant!?  I had family visiting and we decided on a night out for dinner. We picked this restaurant because of all the great reviews and were sadly disappointed.: (

- the "waiter" was dressed like a delivery driver from a 1980's Pizza Hut ad. Jeans, oversize t-shirt, runners and a dirty baseball cap. Turns out, he wasn't really the waiter, he was the delivery driver.
- the waiter did seem like a really nice and down to earth guy, when he honestly told us that he didn't know what an ice cream sundae was.
- he served the rice dishes to the wrong end of the table and said "I know, they ordered it" when he pointed to my family at the other end of the table. He made no attempt to move it.
- the main courses were served BEFORE the entrees (which came out about 2 minutes after the mains).
- nothing left the table once it was put there.empty soft drink cans, bottles, plates, bowls etc.remained.
- one of our kids accidentally knocked over a drink and the waiter just handed us a couple of napkins as he walked past.
- the food was okay but half of it had FAR too much salt or MSG in it.
- the toilets were really dirty. Looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks.
- the passage out to the back (kitchen, storeroom, toilets etc.) was really dirty as well. Unfortunately, I didn't see that until after we had eaten.
- also, the passage out to the back felt slippery.not wet, but slippery. Likely even dangerous.
- I asked the waiter if they split bills. He said "I don't know, what you ordered was really a lot of things" and then went to walk away. I called him back and asked him to print the bill.and then we worked it out ourselves.
- one of us asked him how long he'd worked there. He said a year and added "I don't usually do this, I'm usually the delivery driver".

I wonder, did the regular waiter have the night off and the owner tell the poor delivery driver to do everything?

The bill was over $300, which was cool and no surprise, because like the nice delivery driver told me, what we "ordered was really a lot of things".

Super disappointing experience!

The most tastiest beautiful chinese take away I've had in all of Victoria, and I've eaten chinese in many places. I dont write this lightly!
Thankyou Chef and Owners are also so friendly, we will be back.
