I miss their authentic Malaysian Chinese dishes here. We had Malaysian dry egg noodles with curry chicken & 滑蛋河 when we visited this restaurant for the first time. The fact that this restaurant is in Avondale Heights so it’s bit too far away from where we live. We therefore haven’t had another chance to enjoy their lovely dishes again. We’re also in love with their wonderful hospitality so we’d definitely be back when free.

Great Malaysian restaurant in inner west of Melbourne.

Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and quite accommodating.

Food was generally good. The fried kuey teow was nice and smokey, flavour is a little less 'strong' than other places. The pipis was quite enjoyable.

Yummy authentic Malaysian food. Service is really friendly that makes you felt at home. Loved the large selections of food that you are able to choose from. Recommended for those who really wanna experience the Malaysian food hospitality.

Super yummy food. 10 stars to the chef. The hokkien mee reminds me of KL. Nasi goreng reminds us of home. All food were done with good wok hei which is the essence of a good zi char food. Service was top notched too. Both orders must go with green pickled chilli.

Initially loved it and then was disappointed when I went back. Tonight (mother’s day eve 2023), we ordered take-away. I fully understand they are busy. But, 2 of the dishes I ordered were the incorrect ones when I picked up the food. I point it out to the guy, and he acknowledged the mistake but insisted I should try them. I said that I didn’t liked that type of dish, but said: oh come on, this is the best.
I could see they were under the pump so I took the order as is.
Once home, one dish had opened in the bag and spilled every where. I didn’t like any of them. Everything was tasteless and seemed rushed.
I feel bad writing this review, but what happened tonight is the reason why I won’t go back.

Sublimely delicious. By far the best Asian dining experience I've had in a long time. From the charming, friendly and attentive staff, to the careful preparation and presentation of each of our dishes, Wok Hei did not disappoint. As a family of 4, we left with full bellies on a spend of $110. Great value for the quality of out feast. The Malaysian curry was truly delicious, and left us all truly satisfied. The sizzling Beef and Black Bean with Udon noodles was peppery and plentiful. The Sweet and Sour Pork was not too sweet and probably the best I've had. Chicken Satay Skewers were cooked to perfection. The Soft Shell Crab was also great. Be sure to book ahead. On a Saturday night, it was a full house. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes next time. Highly recommended.

My husband and I, had a reservation, upon arriving the restaurant it was chock a block full house on a Sunday night. Our table was not available, and after a 20 minute wait we were offered a lovely bottle of Rose’ on the house for our patience. The food was amazing, from satay skewers, salt and pepper calamari and soft shell crab, ohh and the Singapore noodles were the best I’ve ever had. The friendly happy family running this establishment should be proud and will go a long way. It had a warm cosy vibe about it. I will definitely be back, have to try so many other dishes.

Dined here for the first time, and they offer authentic Malaysian cuisine. It was delicious and service is great with very hospitable and kind staff.will be back to try more dishes.

Incredibly delicious traditional Malaysian food. Loved that they have crispy pork lard in their char meat teow. The salted egg soft shell crab was amazing. Their desserts were excellent! Friendly and quick waiters

Very friendly service and great food! I enjoyed chicken curry, roti and vegetable fried rice. Our whole party enjoyed the meal.

Wok Hei has recently opened. A large party of us were fed excellent food. The waiter service was very friendly and efficient. Our waiter had an amazing memory. He took the orders of all of us without taking any notes and had everything right. The food was then delivered very quickly. We were all impressed by the quality and taste of our food.

Great authentic Malaysian food and very friendly staff. They actually have wok hei in their stir fried dishes, and the food is not overly sweetened to Australian palates like many other Asian restaurants. My new favourite restaurant in the West.
