Wilson Landscaping

I don’t usually write negative reviews, especially in the times we are in, but I feel the experience I had with Wilson Landscaping needs to be shared as landscaping is a large investment and as someone who works full time in marketing I would’ve appreciated reading a review like this.
I was writing a huge detailed review, but there was no end in sight, so short dot points I hope will suffice.

- Hard to get a hold of when he took the deposit
- Very hard to get a hold of during the project
- Near impossible to get a hold of when it came to the final stages of the project
- Rude and impossible to get in contact with to fix issues with work, makes dates then no shows and ignores calls (Oh yes there are issues with the work)

- Earth moving work was fine, just understand he is very limited with his equipment and isn’t proactive in finding solutions if his equipment can’t do the job
- Used incorrect grout colour on our large paving area, then arrived with what looked to be some hired goon when we wanted to grout to be the agreed colour. Brad Wilson and said hired goon then offer a barrage to me and my partner (while she was holding our 3month old newborn) in our own backyard of how we are colour blind. All captured on CCTV with voice which I am happy to provide if anyone would like to see
- Apparently the man (hired goon) was meant to be a sales rep from the grout company. After investigating this man, I found his the actual importer of the grout. Gee no wonder why he was so aggressive and was so furious in pointing out that yellow grout is in fact grey grout and we were just silly! Silly us
- Once they knew there was CCTV cameras with mics they played loud techno music all day for the remainder of the job. Yes, they knew there was a newborn at site

- Plant selection was not followed. To Brad all salvias are the same, even colours are all the same. Some plants were apparently impossible to source, even though I called 5 nurseries that had them all in stock just in my local area. Landscaping is about the details guys, plant names matter. Lots of the plants planted weren’t what we asked for, and most plants were in such a poor state that most died. Not 10% or 20%, but most, near 60%.
- Brad actually said, "I don't know much about plants", when I questioned him some plants not matching our plant selection

- After review of all CCTV footage, lots of talking smack about the paying customers requests for the project
- Business address in Mount Waverly is fake

I could go on and on and on, I thought the above points would be enough. There is so much to write that you would actually think it is a fake review. I dare say he most likely has no formal education in landscape design, even though he is charging the same prices. The job is complete after 4.5 months, our stepping stones are all loose and moving around, and I’ve had to replant nearly everything they have planted, but the job is complete. Fellow customers, I urge you, keep your money in your pocket and get a quote from else where, and if you currently have a quote from Wilson Landscaping and it fits into the middle range of the quotes, just bin it. His not the cheapest, but he sure hell should be.
