Will's Dumpling reviews
62 I'm not sure what people were raving about with the Xiao long bao, because out of 12 pieces, every single one, had ruptured, so there was no soup left, and they tasted gross.
The pan fried pork dumplings were fairly tasty though.
I have only been there three times, and I need to say their food is actually not bad. They have been busy every time I go, and I can get someone to serve and get my meal in a reasonable waiting time. The only downside is the same issue in many Asian restaurants - cleanliness. Maybe not a bad idea if you do takeaway.
I was feeling for a light snack so I popped in to Will’s. I was warmly greeted by staff and offered a take out menu on entering. Decide to try the dumplings given the name of the place.
The pork juicy buns lived up to its name! With a pan fried base these dumplings were bursting with juices as I took a bite. Whereas the Pork and Prawn Sui Mai paired with Chilli oil provided a mild amount of spicy. Both which did the trick to curb my munchies. Will definitely be back to try their main dishes!
Was here Sunday dinner 7 pm!
Can seat upto 40-50 pax, just ones server for order and table service … wait was 45 plus minutes. Food started coming from about 15 min and so on… all food on table took 45 + to arrive.
Food was just fine!
Great little restaurant. Dumplings are made in front of the kitchen. The flavours are delicious. The mains are a generous size. Good prices. Good selection of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. This was my 2nd visit.
We went on public holiday for a birthday dinner, they are really busy, so the food serve a bit slow but taste really good which worth the wait, very thirsty afterwards though. Overall it was a great experience the waiter is very funny, the chef is very friendly too. We have a very enjoyable time definitely come back again! ️thank you will’s dumpling
I don’t say this lightly, the xiaolongbao was REALLY good. So good we bought 2 servings. Also had the fried veggie dumplings and fried green beans. Both were better than expected also.
My friend from China recommended that it is the most authentic Chinese food in Melbourne if you dine in, she wasn't kidding it was absolutely delicious. Will go again
We’ve been here twice and both times all the dishes we had were incredible. Lots of flavour, fresh quality food and nice staff.
Lunchtime special was quick, cheap and tasty - sichuan style sauteed prawns and veggies. $20 including a drink.
The food was soo good! There are soo many options for a vegan/vegetarian! Their hospitality was lovely!
They have a very unique choice of fillings in the dumplings creating amazing textures.
We also got the pumpkin pancakes and they were the interesting textured desserts I've eaten. Soft and chewy and pudding-like on the inside and crunchy and crispy on the outside.
We had the crispy bun and condensed milk dessert. Ooh and if you're getting the dumplings, get a tea.you'll have 4 cups each for two of you!
Defo recommend trying those!
Delicious food, great value for money and great selections! Definitely coming back again for dinner!
Really great food here. The place was quite busy at lunch time with contractors who all seemed to be ordering a lunch special which was huge and also ridiculously reasonably priced. We went for a selection of dumplings and they were absolutely excellent. There was plenty of filling in them all, jn fact more than plenty; they were very generous. Quick, lovely food, great prices and friendly staff. Loved it!
Stumbled upon Wills Dumplings and was apprehensive at first. Sat down, ordered and the food came out within five minutes. The food was spectacular. Box hill and Glen Waverley have got nothing on this place. Wow.
Will's Dumpling might be one of the best places to eat in Melbourne. The food is always fresh and full of flavour, the service is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it's very clean. I have returned multiple times and enjoyed myself every time.
We ordered the pan fried pork dumpling Xiao long bao and Shanghai pork noodles. Everything was excellent and homemade. Worth a visit
The staff are welcoming. I ordered Singapore-style noodles 星洲米粉. It's so aromatic - warm, spicy, sharp peppery taste, onion, and garlic. Chicken and prawn in it. Delicious! It is almost not usual that I order Singapore stir-fry noodles in a foreign country, as I know it's not easy to cook and taste alike, lack of herbs or spices. But this one, you guys have to give it a go.
Ordered takeaway during lockdown.
It was my first time ordering from them, the food was good and they had many authentic Chinese dishes. Price was reasonable and I think the quality would be even better when dine in. Recommended.
OMG, the best in the west! You can eat in or takeaway frozen dumplings.
I've been there 5 times, had different dish each time, so far have not been disappointed at all.
We keep coming back as the service, food and experience are perfect.
Unpretentious and delicious.
We love the special fried rice, steamed prawn and chicken dumplings and the chicken ribs
