Saw an amazing theatrical production here. It’s not like broadway if that’s what you’re after but it was great for families to see small shows at.

I went to see the opening night of their Mamma Mia musical. The theatre was not that massive, but they were able to maximise everything. I love the production; the cast, the costumes, the stage design, and most especially the lighting. They gave justice not only to Mamma Mia but to Abba. A special thanks to Jack for sorting out my booking inquiry. Surely everyone had a fun Friday night. No wonder their show got sold out pretty quickly that they had to add another day.  

Great quality amateur musical theatre productions on offer here 2-3 times per year, including a junior musical theatre program as well as adult shows. The Mechanics Institute has been undergoing renovations since 2018, therefore the group has relocated whilst that is underway.

Fantastic production of Mama Mia - really enjoyed the show and would thoroughly recommend it. Cast were amazing and production terrific - thanks to everyone involved for a terrific afternoon.

The Centenary Theatre is a great venue. We saw Rock Of Ages. A very enjoyable production. The music, singing and dancing were all top notch. We go to all of WMTC's productions and I recommend getting a season ticket for extra benefits

While the show I saw was historically wrong and featured "cripped up" (able bodied people pretending to be dissabled, and even poorly stealing erik spragues interlectual property) artists, the venue manager was beyond professional and lovely. The venue itself is divine and I wouldn't hesitate to return to see another production. The venue itself is 10/10 and I would highly recommend this venue to punters and artists alike.great place, great people

Always quality amateur musical theatre productions on offer here 2-3 times per year, including youth musical theatre as well as adult. The Mechanics Institute is set to be renovated in 2018 & therefore the group will be temporarily relocating whilst that is underway.

One of Melbourne's gems in the non professional theatre scene. Lovely company to work with and always put on first class productions so you feel you're getting your money's worth as an audience member. Parking can be a little busy for the really popular shows so get there a little early.
