A truly special country bakery selling the BEST vanilla slices. I drove from the other side of Victoria and don’t regret it!

After hearing so many good reports of this place.we just had to visit. Nice drive from Ararat, and easy to find. Street parking. The range of hot food and delicious treats is amazing.hard to select a few. Pies have that special homemade feel.fillings are ample, pastry is crisp and tasty. The sweet treats all have that homemade feel too. Met Pete the baker who served us. The shop is so clean, and the smells inviting.no wonder Willaura Bakery has a delicious reputation. Whether you are local, or passing through.remember to slow down and visit. Your tummy will thankyou

Travelling through and had heard how good the bakery is. Bought pie, pastie and vanilla slice. All great, especially the vanilla slice, which was superb.

Ae were told to ring and order the Vanilla Slices before 10: 00am. Luckily we did as they had run out before we got there. The Vanilla Slices were outstanding, great pastry and tasty custard filling. We are a pie each before the Vanilla Slices which were also great tasting, delish. The staff were friendly and courteous. I will be back, well worth a detour.

Lovely bakery for a small town. Customer service is excellent. The pies are delicious. My fav and one of the best is curry and then steak and mushrooms. Worth it the price. They are big portion pies too?

The pies, pasties and desserts here are delicious. Our favourite bakery to visit for a lunchtime treat. Staff are very friendly and great you with a smile and a nice chat.

I recommend the Willaura Bakery to anyone, we will be sure to pop in anytime we're heading to S A or heading back home, their products, baked on site are just fantastic, My hubby loves their meat pies and their white bread, and I am working my way through the cake and slice selection, I've eaten their vanilla slice, sooo delicious, and the passionfruit cheese cake slice, my taste buds are dancing with joy still. And all this with really good friendly country service, and lovely smiles from the lass behind the counter, I give them 10 out of 10,

Bought their rolls and they were really light & delicious, not doughy or airy. Also bought there sourdough only produced on Thursday & Fridays & that was light and delicious too. Won't miss going there whenever we pass through. Thanks you.

Willaura bakery on a bicycle tour was like an oasis in the desert. We came in early so we could get a feed and book it to Ararat before the heat of the day. The ladies behind the counter we're lovely. I ordered a mushroom pie and a pepper pie as well as a cheesecake and two lattes. Everything was delicious and we were given free tote bags as souvenirs!

In depth pie review:
Pastry: tasty and soft, just the way I like it. Meat was regular mince, a touch average. Gravy was standard, no nonsense and straight down the line. Temperature was on point. Overall rating: 4 stars. Would recommend highly!

Great selection of pies and pastries. Best vanilla slice ever. Highly recommend as long as you aren't dieting.

Best sausage rolls we've ever had, rolls were so fresh, the shop was busy but Sporto was so friendly and took time to speak with every customer. What a gem in Willaura, will definately take a detour to go there again.
