Ordered some bamboo & Merino socks to try & they arrived 2 days later. Absolutely fantastic socks, they dry very quickly. Not itchy at all. Keep my feet dry and cool while out on walks. The Cool-Max fabric is great too. Love your products! I'll definitely be buying more soon.

Honestly the best socks I’ve owned! I’ve had a few pairs of merino and some of bamboo and they have all lasted so long that I can’t remember what they were called when I bought them. So comfy and such great colours (particularly in the bamboo). And Aussie made!

Gave these flash colourful socks a test on a recent hike up Bungalow Spur to Mt Feathertop. In icy cold (-8 degrees) conditions my feet stayed dry and felt great throughout the hike. I didn't get the normal wet feet from sweat or snow getting down into my boots, instead the light socks kept them warm and comfortable. I was concerned with how thin the socks are but after 20km going up and down a mountain I am pretty impressed.
The colour scheme alone won over several people I've shown these to.
I would absolutely recommend these to other outdoor enthusiasts.

I could not believe how quickly my order arrived. I out in an order around lunchtime yesterday and was able to collect at a country post office at lunchtime today. That is so impressive. The Small Merino Fleece socks are a little large, as other reviewers have said I think, but they will do the job. My toes are warmer than they have been for weeks.

After a word of mouth recommendation, I Visited this company as they are in the next suburb to me, hoping to purchase a particular sock, but instead was provided with a different sock more suitable for my needs and a 30min explanation of their products, raw materials and how they are made in the warehouse. Will defiantly purchase more gear from this company when the time comes as the product offering is much better to what is available in retail stores. I'm happy that john took time out of his day to show me the product lines WW produces and allow me to view the products before purchasing, not many Aus-Made do this. Atmosphere Q Trail run sock are the best hiking sock I've had so far.

In May, I’ll be trekking 600kms solo across Tasmania. You can imagine that I'll be needing some pretty comfy gear to achieve this. When the weather is cold, wet, icy - feet can be particularly at risk. Having completed some very long treks previously, I knew that for 600kms I'd need gear that could handle extremes.

I came across Wilderness Wear and at first glance, really liked their values and all-local (Australian) made socks and thermals. They were very well reviewed and so I decided to give the gear a go.

Last month, I hiked all around the Snowy Mountains and on one day in particular (during the recent wild weather in NSW) I hiked up to the Kosciuszko summit. The rain was horizontal, the wind chill was freezing, and the visibility was extremely minimal. Yet, despite the punishing conditions, I was snug as bug. My base layer was the MerinoFusion 190 Switch Hoodie which as you probably guessed, comes with a hood (very useful!). I also wore the Three Capes Merino Hiker socks.

Firstly, the base layer was a snug, warm, comfortable fit with a hood that actually fit very well and protected me from the harsh wind. Even when my outer hood was repeatedly ripped off by wind gusts, it held firm. Not once did I actually feel the biting cold that was working its way through my increasingly wet gloves. So comfortable was this top, that I’m absolutely buying another for the 600km trek.

Secondly, the Three Capes socks – unreal. They’re super soft and comfortable, yet at no point did they feel hot or constricting. They seemed to stabilize my feet within the boot and the cushioning in the sole made each footfall much more pleasant than I’m typically used to, that was a welcome surprise.

I didn’t only get the Three Capes socks, I got a few different styles to trial before the trek and if I’m being honest, all my old socks are feeling rather abandoned as I’m ‘testing’ my Wilderness Wear socks on a daily basis, at home, at work and on the trail – because they’re all so comfy!
As someone who wore cheap socks and didn’t see the value in investing in proper, quality socks – I’ve learned a lesson. I didn’t know what I was missing out on. Absolutely stellar gear, thank you!

* Forgive the poor photos – the conditions weren’t all that conducive to photography!

I have a number of socks and tops from Wilderness Wear, all are impeccable, high quality and sustainably made. In these photos are the Women's Merinofusion Light 160 short tee in grey and the Women's Fusion Light socks.

Both of which I recently wore on a hike to the summit of Cradle Mountain. On the day we experiences sun, rain, wind, fog, heat and cold. These socks and tee held up to it all! I was warm in the wind and kept cool when I was sweating.

The fabric is soft and durable. It is all Australian made and sustainable. I love the slim fit of the top and it is a really flattering design. I also wear the tee casually with a pair of jeans and love it! Well worth the investment.

Ordered two pair of merino socks, unfortunately one of the pairs that I ordered, that particular colour/ pattern was not available, Wilderness sent me a aother pair of similar socks of a different colour/ pattern, wrote me an apology note explaining their stuff up, and as a sign of goodwill also included a pair of lightweight hiking socks. I appreciated wilderness wears customer services efforts in trying to rectify this issue, the merino hiking socks I ordered are excellent AND importantly Australian!

I have bought multiple pairs of socks across the range and worn them to the gym, work and hiking. Extremely comfortable and warm. Also have a merino short sleeve tee which is extremely comfortable to wear with light and heavy pack. Ordered and had stock delivered in two days (awesome)

Wilderness Wear Men’s COOL MERINO Short Sleeve Tee
I have spent too much time working outdoors in Australia’s extreme UV and am too paranoid about ticks to ever use shirt sleeved tops on a regular basis. While that is not likely to change, since discovering the Men’s Wilderness Wear COOL MERINO Short Sleeve Tee I am now wearing short sleeved tops on a more regular basis than I ever thought possible.

First, lets get the technical stuff out of the way. COOL MERINO Tencel 155 achieves the best fibre blend by combining two natural fibres; 70% Merino wool and 30% sustainable Tencel. Tencel is made from eucalyptus wood that has high basic fibre humidity, great evaporative coolness and a flat fibre surface. These features combine to create a fibre that is cool on its own – without the need for any additional chemicals. Tencel products are also long-lasting. Using fine merino wool also means this garment is also easy to care for, super soft on the skin, odour neutralising, and temperature and moisture regulating.

I’ve always been a big fan of 100% merino fabric but since discovering Wilderness Wear I started to become a convert to their blended range of products. This tee shirt performs as advertised. It’s is very soft, fits really well and the tailoring is very flattering thanks to the body hugging panels. This is one of the most comfortable tops that I have ever worn.

I have now worn this top for a period of just over 12 months in a wide range of weather conditions from as low as 5° Celcius in southern Australia all the way up to 30º Celcius in high humidity in Queensland – I did have minimal sweating on my back but that was more due to the backpack I was using rather than the top.

This tee is lightweight as you would expect (Size L is only 152 grams). The fit is ‘slim’ which is also enhanced by the double sewn flat seams. This tee feels great against your skin. And despite sweating heavily as I climb steep hills and mountains, this tee doesn’t get smelly – a great bonus also for your fellow hikers. If I am wearing short sleeved t-shirts I prefer them on the tight side so instead of my preferred XL size I wear in longer tops, I am wearing a size L. What this means is that the length is slightly on the shorter side than I would usually like but that’s a sacrifice I am willing to make.

The Wilderness Wear COOL MERINO Short Sleeved Tee comes in two colours – Black and Blue and if I was being picky I would prefer a larger range of colours which I believe is in the works. As much as I love black, in this case the blue colour is my favourite.

Wilderness Wear Men’s COOL MERINO Short Sleeve Tee now forms part of my hiking kit and is well worth the investment.

I LOVE WW, I have multiple of their socks for hiking and running and they are the most comfortable socks I've ever worn. In addition, I bought two MerinoFusion Light 160 hiking T-shirts. Their quality is outstanding. I take them to all my hikes. In the particular case of my 7 day hike across the Larapinta Trail, these T-shirts kept me cool during the day and warm before the cold night hit the desert.
I highly recommend this brand, it is the best quality Merino wool clothing I have ever owned!

I ordered a Merino Fusion long sleeve top from Wilderness Wear a few months ago and after some extensive use, I can confirm this is an incredible piece of clothing! The top is super lightweight whilst giving you the warmth, breathability and the no-stink factor of a traditional heavyweight merino. It is the perfect and only top you will need for winter hiking. Besides, it is worth mentioning that Wilderness Wear's incredible customer service. Some of the threading on the sleeves was coming apart. I contacted Jon who sent me a new top the next day! A great product and a great company!

I discovered Wilderness Wear when searching for ethical clothing companies. I shopped, and was so happy with my purchases that I have put in another order. I think the Ecotech socks are the most comfortable pair of socks I own - and I kind of collect socks so that's a big call!

I ordered some Merino wool socks and a mid layer jacket (which was on special at a very good price) and the warmth and quality of all of the items is absolutely fantastic.
I have really noticed the difference in the warmth factor of these socks and jacket being far warmer than my previous socks and jacket.
The manufacturing quality of the socks and jacket is also far superior- being quality Australian made products.
It was easy to order on the website and the order was very fast to arrive.
I highly recommend Wilderness Wear and its products.
You cant go wrong buying from a good Australian company who manufacture in our wonderful country.
Keep up the great work Wilderness Wear. Thankyou!

Almost religiously wear these socks. An electrician by trade I stumbled upon these socks down Tassie way at the Overland shop, bought a pair to try, put them on once almost had a tear. Never wore a comfier pair of socks. Have bought 6 pairs since. Only socks I will wear while at work. Keep feet warm, dry and aren’t itchy. They last. Aussie made and owned. Highly recommend investing in this gear if you’re a tradie and spend 9+ hours a day in your boots. (Got the Overland socks and the Marino beast!)
