WILD WOMBAT Cafe reviews
9First time we have visited, we sat outside, not much shade but it was a beautiful morning so no problem for us. The service was great, the coffee was excellent and the food was delicious. We shared the breakfast crepe and the crumbed poached eggs, bacon and avocado. We enjoyed both. Worth a visit.
Update of previous Five Star review:
Underwhelmed by sticky tables, slow service and stodgy food. Won't be back
Great cafe with a nice menu.
The staff were really great, the food and drinks delicious.
Plenty of gluten free cake options!
Came here when they were supposed to close but graciously accommodated us on a late Sunday afternoon. Mum and her little daughter were working in the kitchen. The cute little daughter was happily helping her mum on that Sunday afternoon. Vanilla chai latte’ was probably one of the best ever I’ve had. Businesses in little townships like Wild Wombat should be celebrated. This will not be my first and last time there
Wombat is badly understaffed.advertising for new employees. Sole staffer was great, but seriously under pressure with long waits for coffee. She was sincerely apologetic, but our group (11) had to be very patient.
The bacon and egg roll is one of the best. My favorite place for a sunny Saturday lazy breakfast.
I went here for breakfast, very good food. They have so many coffee options and it is absolutely amazing! I love the ambience and decor of the place as well. It’s definitely a busy cafe and a prior booking is always recommended especially on the weekend. A must go and try cafe for sure!
My wife and two kids 3 and 9 months were on our way for breakfast, we arrived at the Wild Wombat cafe to see that it was maybe still closed, we called to see if they were open and the lady said they open at 8: 30am even though online says 7am, thats fine, the lady had said we can sit and have a coffee prior. It was 8: 15, we happily sat for 10minutes in the car then got the kids out of the car to make our way to the WILD Cafe, my daughters was excited for a Baby Chino. On arrival the lady which i believe is the owner greeted us with a flat looking face then asked if we had called prior which we said we did. She started shaking her head at us in anger whilst walking of telling us where our table was.
I know we came early, although you greeted us over the phone to come in, we arrived with our two young kids and you shook your head at us before even entering the door, shame on you to even have a business to greet a family the way you did, my daughter kept asking for a Baby Chino whilst we walked of.
My wife and kids have come to another local Cafe and were greeted with massive smiles and acceptance.
This is great cafe tucked away at the west end of Hurstbridge. The cafe is cosy and charming inside with a choice of different table styles including couches. Outside there is a spacious deck on the front where you can sit and watch the world go by. Dogs are welcome on the deck and water is provided for them.
Top level delicious coffee.
