Wild Things Food reviews
27I enjoy shopping here. However, it's essential to be cautious of any spoiled fruit that may not be worth the money. I understand how frustrating that can be.
The veggies are fresh a lots of choice. It’s a shame that the customer service in both sectioned of the shop, is no great. They are unpleasant and it’s no nice for customers that spend normally $200/300 each time. If you don’t like to be in contact with customers, just think to change your job. Don’t forget that without customers you would not have a job.
My sister (who is anaphylactic to nuts) went to Wild Things today and after being assured the product had no nuts in it, bought a Japanese pancake. Two bites in she knew that it definitely contained nuts as she started having an anaphylactic reaction. While her reaction was developing and her breathing was getting more strained, she quietly returns the pancake to the staff saying the product definitely has nuts in it as she is having a reaction. She was dismissed, not offered a refund and was instead informed that there’s a medical centre next door. Realising that she needs more urgent medical intervention for this life threatening reaction, she calls an ambulance for herself and the paramedics and staff at Royal Melbourne Hospital Emergency were shocked the staff at Wild Things didn’t take this incident more seriously. This incident has caused significant stress, as she has had a lengthy stay in ED and short stay, had to leave her car in Fitzroy and pay for parking, pay for an Uber for the way home from the hospital all on top of the health repercussions that come from a serious anaphylactic reaction. This was a very disappointing response from Wild Things and we would strongly caution others (especially those with dietary requirements) from visiting this establishment.
To have this place to do our food shopping is something l feel so thankful for.it is literally a joy to go here.often.if l didn't live locally l would make the trip, weekly.the wonderful owners really care & put so much time & effort to make Wild Things a progressive & absolutely thriving place.
The range/quality of fresh food & products are constantly top notch. The atmosphere is calm & relaxing yet lively, & the customer service is.
To top it off the staff on board are always SO lovely.
Yes this place is my ultimate food shopping experience & l have it in my neighbourhood.
Lucky me!
Total 10/10
Some of the staff members here are extremely rude and products are ridiculously over priced, I will not be returning.
Pricey but worth it.
Good quality food, extensive range of products. Many vegan, gluten free and other alternative dietary options.
I frequently find new items here, a fun little grocery adventure.
Wild Things is always where I go back to for foods organic or other, the staff are friendly and prompt, helpful in looking for items, generally always well stocked (there is an amazing amount of food packed in their stores), and I find that prices are the same or better than bigger stores.
So good to have a such a great health food store in the neighbourhood. Also, everyone here seems really friendly and nice!
Amazing selection of local, organic, artisan produce and products. Staff are always very welcoming.
Best fresh squeezed orange juice I have ever had!
One of the better / affordable organic grocers in the north side. There's a dry herb counter which I could get chrysanthemum flower to make herbal tea from. A staff once gave me her Kombucha mother to start my own. Good vibes overall.
Chilled out neighbourhood organic grocer. Service is always incredible, and produce is fresh, flavoursome and limited to what's in season. Highly recommend!
Surprisingly competitive pricing with terra madre
However more heirloom products and a huge range of meat (love milawa chicken)
Lots of stuff half price in the freezer
Went there recently and had a very mixed experience. There’s a great selection of produce and products but they’re so ridiculously overpriced. I understand that with organic produce it’s not cheap but I’ve seen other places with a more reasonable gap.
Not to mention the staff were pretty stand-offish and not very helpful. Bit of a shame but would rather spend my money somewhere else.
Started shopping here when that other store in Westgarth got a little too aggro on the customer service and security.
Friendly, respectful, conversational and knowledgable. I couldn't want for a better store.
Staff should work on there delivery of policies, rather than speaking abrupt and making a customer feel uncomfortable. I shop here every week and spend a lot and the customer service is not consistent. I think I will stop shopping here.
Love this place, great fresh produce. Its just more expensive than terra madre. Its what u get for added convenience i guess.
Very nice place to shop for organic food, staff very helpful and a super nice easy going little cafe at the entrance, selling quality food.
Luv it. Nice and different, in an area where it's hard to be different.
Wild Things has a lovely decor and vibe, is pretty chill to visit, and has great products. The produce is organic, fresh, and tasty, as is pretty much everything here.
The only downside to wild things is the price, it can be quite a bit more expensive than other grocers, namely because the food is locally sourced and the quality is high, but it is what deters me from going here as often as I'd like.
If price isn't a problem, this could be the only grocery store you should visit. The layout and selection are both great, and many of the other organic grocers lack one or both of those points.
Try the burgers. They don't always make them or maybe they've sold out when I've gone in a few times.any who, so good. Also love the crew there. Despite being busy, I've found the crew to be friendly and cheerful.
Friendly staff, great store layout and delicious yummies! Everything you need from a natural food shop
