Whyte Cafe

Going out for breakfast is always a treat in my book, not today! I dined at the Whyte cafe with a friend for the last time. The staff are nice whilst the menu is dull and doesn’t provide value for money. I ordered a loose leaf chai (6$) and the “avocado Benedict” (21$). I also specified that I wanted the chai strong. I was surprised by how fast the chai was. She told me she put 3 spoons in, I would not consider this extra I also let sit for 5 minutes in my cup. The drink was white and tasted like pure milk.
Food wise,
the presentation was strange.
My girlfriend described her beef Benedict as bland.personally, 1 of my eggs was slightly undercooked which I don’t mind but I do mind brown avocado. The ingredients especially the muffin also felt cheap and not fresh. In hind sight I should not have touched it but my hangry emotions got the better of me. I have been to many cafes and worked in hospitality please trust me when I say that there are better cheaper places nearby!
I have never left a whole order at the table. After composing myself trying not to cry I felt the need to express my feelings to the staff with the thought they could help me. All I was met with was a 50 cent discount on my chai and half felt words, “we will talk to the chef, it will be better next time. ” Why would I come back? I wanted to leave with a full belly not full of regret. Don’t let them take your money, spend it somewhere that cares.
Love from a sad disappointed brunch enthusiast.could be good if you’ve never had breakfast or if someone was shouting.

I love Whyte cafe! Always super lovely & friendly staff. I swear by the coffee they use including the decaf. They always brighten my day! Their breakfast is always yummy too:)

On a cold and foggy morning, I stopped by Whyte Café for breakfast. Perfect cappuccino came first, followed by fruit toast and marmalade, then porridge. Planning to work Whyte into my routine now!

The best coffee and the kindness staff. I go to Whyte Cafe every day before work. I highly recommend checking this beautiful cafe when you are in Glenhuntly. Christine and Sun are the best!

Walk in at least once a week, iced soy latte and regular latte are the best coffee I had in Melbourne! Toasted croissant is very crispy and delicious too! Service is also friendly. Love this cafe!

I was having a sad morning and ordered some breakfast and coffee. Everything was super delicious and they even gave me an in house muffin for free! What a way to turn a girl’s day around. Highly recommend!

One of the best cafes in Glen gently area. Amazing variety & delicious dishes. It’s become my favourite place to go for brunch or breakfast. Outddor seats gets beautiful sun and I can enjoy it with my dog and never feel that I wish i should be sitting indoor, however their indoor sitting is impeccable as well. Prices are affordable and service is quick.

Food: Waffle - was great but I felt it was dry. I prefer with more ice cream but overall it was great.
