Westfield Doncaster reviews
70 One star because a shopping centre of this size has NO regulation on the amount of noise or how loud it is from every store, including the actual centre management playing music, resulting in a cacophony of loud noises, which makes it extremely stressful shopping there.
For people with sensory sensitivities or disorders and those on the spectrum who are also noise or temperature sensitive this place is absolutely hell. They've started a ONE hour sensory friendly "Quiet Time", what a joke. One hour is enough time to walk into the centre, visit maybe one shop, spend 10 minutes queuing for the toilet then going home. This is Westfield's "token" one hour for people with sensory disabilities. Not good enough. Do better. Not to mention the fact the centre also does not regulate the temperature inside and does not use an effective air conditioner throughout, so it's unbearably hot and humid on hot days.
It also makes it impossible for some people to even work or continue working in the centre. How is this fair?
Smaller shopping centre's like the Pines or Greensborough are much better, as is shopping online.
And don't get me started on the eshays and certain types of other people who like carrying machetes into the centre. Yep, check out the crimes committed in this place!
Decent shopping centre! Parking here is the worse to find a spot and shopping centre is bad for closing at 5: 00 pm little too early for a weekend when it is busy
I frequently shop at Doncaster Westfield multiple times per week. I love the food court and the store selection.
The upstairs parents room near the VIP shopping area is clearly out of order. The door is broken and the feeding rooms don’t have curtains on the doors.
Unfortunately in the middle of yet another lockdown almost all closed except Coles and Woolworth. Normally ****.
140322. Now almost back to normal. Very busy. Every store now open and trading. Great vibe once again. It is about time. Worth checking out now. Very busy now it xmas season.
140723 - everything going well and full of people now. A bit empty in AM mid week but gets busy later in the day. Worth visiting.
Not bad.major stores and quite a decent of restaurants in the food court and up stairs area which has been updated recently. Never enough parking, at least the first 3 hours are free or if you watch a movie or sign up to their group and get another hour free.
Best place to shop all kind of brands-big and small. We can find high end as well as local brands here.
Quite frustrating as staff having to pay to leave your car I think it’s pathetic having to pay to leave your car anywhere, half the time they don’t recognise my plates and I get asked ‘ if I was actually working’ as there is no footage of me driving into the staff parking. Without fail, 1-2 times a week I have to call and speak to someone regarding this, I have spoken to concierge about this and another matter when I was charged twice and I’m yet 12 weeks on to receive my refund. For a multi million company, still can’t get it right.
Full load of branded clothing, items etc. I recommend to try Southland Westfield instead as it is affordable for all people.
3 hour timed and charged parking! Not Impressed. Think I will do my shopping elsewhere from now on
It's a great place where you can find virtually anything you need from cinema to amazing restaurants, shops, banks, money exchange, children's play ground etc. The place also has free wifi making it a great place for relaxation.
It used to have a great vibe and atmosphere. Nowadays each shop sets their own trading hours and go home before all of the shoppers do. For example I had visited on a Friday night and Myer was closed at 7pm and so did half of the centre. How does Westfield allow this, it really gives the centre an unwelcoming vibe.
Very poor response and very bad experience in the reception, I would never recommend anyone go there.
Food was excellent and so was the service, fast paced with lovely friendly staff. Egg net Pad Thai and the laksa was delicious.
Very large & modern multi-level shopping centre. Car parking gets frustrating so I park in the residential area across the street.
Great place to shop and eat at, nice environment with clean toilets and spacious area to relax and sit around.
Probably my favourite place to come and shop, partially for locality and also for variety and availability. It is generally pretty well laid out and easy to find what you want. Shops (generally) recommend each other, so you generally walk out with what you want in hand, on order or where to find it.
Only down side? You might park a long way from what you want (especially the cinema) so be prepared to walk, particularly after a movie late at night.
I’m usually ok putting up with the lack of parking and other issues with this shopping center, but on this occasion I went to buy an item from the Apple shop, only to discover that you can only enter the shop via pre-booked, online appointment to see a product specialist. We drove all the way from the outer northern suburbs to be turned away. Whenever I ring the Doncaster Apple store I can never get to talk to an actual person, so how is any customer supposed to know what’s going on? Book ahead for Apple.
Love this place, best shopping memories, good parking, Myers, cinema, everything you need, will be back.
Great service from James and the team at Westfield direct great way to buy online great deals and great service during covid times
Lots of great shops but unfortunately I have to take off a star because of the overly complicated and expensive parking. Multiple levels and entrances/exits which takes multiple visits to get familiar with. They advertise extra free parking duration with the Westfield app, but in my experience it’s difficult to claim
